I love that in Arcade mode, outside of precision weapons, Clayton Carmine's head can resist lethal headshots. Referencing when Clay was shot by the Stranded.

@@scorpion40k Oh. I meant GoW5 Multiplayer. There is a mode called Arcade where each character has specific load outs and abilities. Clayton has a perk which stopped him from getting his head shot and it would down him instead.

I really hope the devs add some sort of bonus chapter or campaign of Gary, Lizzie, and Clayton working as a unit. (Gary was shown to be alive right before the Swarm attack in Gears 4. And Lizzie could have Hammer of Dawn scars like Paduk).

He also has a tattoo on his arm of his two brothers who were killed in the first two games. In the games after 3 he has a dent in his helmet from where the sniper shot him too. He's basically a walking artifact at this point.

I was beyond happy when I saw Clayton return in Gears 5. I always loved the Carmine brothers and that Clayton managed to survive gears 3, and during the period between Gears 4 and 5, I was scared that they killed him off screen. Hopefully Clayton will continue to live in Gears 6 and that we finally see his fourth brother (which I also hope lives).

Making a whole big deal out of him in the end of 3 was the coolest shit for me. I loved the series because of the carmine brothers saga and how it ended and how they actually mixed everything up and added to his development.. I hope clay either goes out like a hero or hes the last one alive as like an epologue character narrating or something.

I dislike the new spray paint blue aesthetic of a lot of the characters in Gears 4/5. It doesn't fit for me. Gears 1/2 had the look down, and Gears 3 threw in the battle worn tan and olives because it was more about survival (no longer an army/military).

It's not confirmed but we believe that Gary is Clay's son, and Lizzie is the daughter of the fourth Carmine brother. All we know is he's younger then Clay and is in someway involved with the Carmine Construction Company.

Clayton's armor was always blue, the Campaign just doesen't do a good job at showing it, but in some parts of the cutscenes, and both campaign and multiplayer, even the profile pic you're using right now, the armor is notably blue, in Gears 5 his armor probably just recieved a fresh coat of paint, and Clay decided to add all his frases to the armor again.

They should have stuck with prequels. The first game didn't start till 14 years after eday so that had a whole 14 years including eday (which we'd all love to see) plus the pendulum wars. I mean Clayton and Marcus and Cole have to be like 50 years old here.

The carmine curse should have ended with him. To have his kin die as well is so fuckin bullshit and disrespectful to the fans that paid money to let him live. It should have been an eye opener to that that we dont want the carmines to suffer any more than they have. But no they just said "fuck you" and killed off the other carmines

He is yet to be revealed! There are 4 brothers and this particular brother is meant to be the second eldest

@@KingAbzTV Yeah the supposed D. Carmine, since there's one in every main game he should be in the next one. His daughter being revealed in the last game could be an indication and the fact that isn't memorialized on Clayton's arm confirms he is alive. Hoping we actually get to see the brothers interact, the fact with Lizzie being dead could actually lead us to an interesting story between the two of them.

@@brianachim2670 Since he was originally intended to be in RAAM's shadow wearing his recruit armour, we can gather he was 18 in 9AE, when the game takes place. That would make him 23 around the events of Gears 1 and 2, 26 in Gears 3 and 51 in the period of Gears 4 and 5
