Such a contemplative piece. The chorus bothered me for a bit until I really chewed on the lyrics. The chorus doesn’t really resolve anywhere, particularly in terms of chords (landing on the subdominant before going to the next verse). But this particular sailor doesn’t have any resolution, he’s stuck on his travels when he’d rather be home. Makes you wish him home just as much as he does so we can finally follow through and enjoy the ending to his story
