I'm in same situation!!... I feel like I'm watching my nearly 52 year old husband die... He's also an alcoholic and he's between stages 3 and 4 there also. He won't stop smoking cigarettes or weed. He won't stop drinking beer.... I get very frustrated and angry and find support from other women friends and online and through prayer.... At the same time, my 83 year old dad is dying, too, gradually, from diabetes all the complications from it, particularly kidney failure.... Dad smoked till I was 10. He was 40 when he quit. Never smoked again. He quit drinking sometime before that. He has a gambling habit with poker machines and lottery cards till Mom took his truck keys back in November... Such a wasted life... He DID get saved, though, in November! And he was baptized on my birthday last November!! What a present!!!!!! My ex husband and kids' dad is 59.
