Join me on this spectacular flight in First Class onboard a private Airbus A340 jet from Cape Town to Antarctica. The flight is operated by Hi Fyi and chartered by White Desert, the only company to offer trips to Antarctica's interior.
Keep watching till the end for the spectacular landing of the plane on a blue-ice runway and for a preview of Antarctica's most luxurious lodge (insane!).
Read my review of this flight on my travel blog: theluxurytravelexpert.com/202...

What we are witnessing is the world through the eyes and lens of a modern day explorer. From beautiful cities to lush savannahs, tropical beaches and forests, we are now in Antarctica, a place few will ever see much less experience. Watching these videos makes me feel the only thing better is actually experiencing them for myself. Failing that I will continue to take in this magnificent planet vicariously with you. This is why we continue to watch the best travel channel on KZfaq. Thank you and best wishes.

Antartica is the size of the Continental United States, and the total area tourists are allowed to visit is similar to that of a small college. You’re allowed to cover more ground in North Korea than you are in Antartica
@lekudos
@lekudos Жыл бұрын
@@NarasimhaDiyasena it’s true there are measures to limit harm to the environment. But think about it; what do you call a bunch of wealthy individuals flying a large jet to Antarctica for no reason than leisure and to sip champagne in unspoilt wilderness? slippery slopes! The presence of tourists can disrupt the natural behavior and breeding patterns of wildlife, Tourism can accidentally introduce non-native species to Antarctica. It wouldn’t be the first time, waste was accidentally ejected from an aircraft…! Carbon emissions - need I say more on this? Tourism infrastructure, footpaths, trails, disturbance of natural vegetation. I think we’re doing enough. Sipping champagne in Antarctica appeals to me too, but so does doing shots on a workday! 👀. Somethings just aren’t good for us.

This looks like quite a travel experience to Antarctica. There's only few people at a time that can take this amazing trip. It's great for people to explore this marvelous continent. How would it really feel to step onto several thousands of years of ice, would feel totally amazing. I have lived on 4 continents, 5 countries, and 6 states. I promise you these are among the most stunningly beautiful scenes you could ever see. I'm on a fixed budget and could never even come close to the $70,000 easy to do this since I live in the US. i'd have to fly to South Africa and get a hotel. I would absolutely love to do this amazing trip. I have to assume that Antarctica has no time zones since a good share of the summer it's 24 hours of daylight and 24 hours of darkness in winter. on top of that the angle is totally towards the sun or away from the sun so even when there days and nights it the same, aside from maybe 25 minutes difference across the entire area.

Reminded me of the many business trips I took to Canada where at one time I took a major detour to go up to the Northwest Territories it’s absolute nothing but miles and miles of ice fields. Get off your vehicle and it pulled away leaving you all alone on the ice fields. It gives you a pretty good perspective of our COSMOS. One looses the sense of direction and you literally feel how insignificant you’re compared to this Vast Nature a Unique Experience Indeed. Great Video 👍👍👍👍
