Regardless of anyone’s thoughts about her ‘before’ appearance, we all should just be very happy and thankful that she’s very pleased with her new ‘after’ look. It gives her the confidence boost she felt she needed, and will open doors for her that I’m sure she felt were permanently closed. ❤

Bullies are sad people that are hurting and they aim to hurt others to make themselves feel bether! I had plenty of it at school, I would be punched in the stomach so hard because I was over weight and the bullies said I couldn't feel it. I had my fingers stood on and my hair cut and general name calling. I didn't know how to react to it so I would try to laugh it off and just keep going and looked fwd to the day I could leave and never have to see these people again. The makeover is great! You are really beautiful 😊 x

I had the bullying, abuse, cruelty and violence under my own roof when I was growing up and they never stopped even when I left. My only option was to move away from as far West in the United States as I could without falling in the Pacific Ocean and never go or look back.

Same. Its sad that we carry these memories forever... mean girls and boys who needed to pick on more vulnerable to fit in and make themselves superior. 40 years later, I'm confident and successful, but there are times I can't ignore it anymore, and the memories start flooding in... and their words and actions still hurt. 🦋

Unfortunately not just boys & girls we also had a teacher that would tell us we were nothing, and would never go anywhere. Wouldn't be successful and we were a waste of space. I remember a sweet friend of mine after PE she didn't shower because the bus was about to leave. The teacher shouted at her that she was a dirty smelly filthy stinking beast in front of everyone. I hated that teacher so much but I've realised she was a deeply unhappy person so I feel sorry for her now x

I can only dream of a makeover,10 years ago,I had a brakedown, not because I was weak,but because I had been strong way too long!!! Incest,and molestation from 2 1/2 years old until 11yo, my breakdown believe it or not was the best thing to happen to me,the Lord took all those broken pieces, and made me Perfectly Shattered, Beautifully Broken, and Gracefully Restored, I love me and my simple humble life with my grand children and my great grand son ❤ I turn 60 may 1st

I agree. I never recovered from being ruthlessly bullied. If I had been born in this time period I probably would be a suicide but back in the 70s and 80s that wasn’t really something that people did.

WOW! She looks so pretty! Kids can be cruel. I’m an only child and it made me afraid to talk about my summer vacations me my mom and dad took. During the summer. Kids thought I was lying. Love that he explains in this one how it works. I was surprised with the clothing chosen after that explanation. I sonehow expected her to come out in soft pastels. I wonder if they show what to look for and how to maintain the hair and do the makeup? I am with the others in the idea that no one should have to wear shapewear daily to look and feel good.

As someone who was bullied by the “mean girls”for 4 years, I know firsthand how devastating that can be. Now I understand that because I’m very empathetic and hyper-sensitive to people around me, I understand why those 4 years were so damaging to my soul and self-esteem. Sadly, many people don’t understand just how damaging bullying can be. I’m so happy that Lori has such a wonderful, supportive husband and that you were able to make her finally feel good about herself! Christopher, I hope you understand what a treasure you are to women people like Lori (and me)…you give them exactly what they need to finally have confidence in themselves, and that is a priceless gift!💞

You mirror my growing up years! I am 7th of 9 kids. Grew up on a farm. Worked hard, huge garden, drove tractor for picking up bales, picked rocks every spring, and I’m sure you know all of the things a person does on a farm…canning, raising chickens, picking fruit and on. I too was bullied at school. I became a bigger target for bullying just by losing confidence due to being bullied. This has stayed with me and changed how I see myself. Lots of therapy and I can say I’m better but I can’t completely shake those memories. BTW, you look stunning!

I didn't have the personality to let anyone bully me. When someone describes how much it destroyed them, I feel so bad for them. Then you see them blossom. Why? This one made me weep! I was bullied too as a girl, but I was touched by how much she looks like my lifelong friend who passed away in April at 58. She passed looking far less beautiful than she was. She wasn’t sick, died suddenly, but her sister and I used to talk about getting her a makeover, but didn’t want to insult her. I’m so glad this lovely lady got her fresh start! Well done, Christopher and team, this was very heartwarming ❤️

I love this lady. Toward the end she mentions the Japanese philosophy of making beautiful things from broken pieces. That's the wabi sabi movement, and I've been a fan of that for many years. I've never heard it applied to people, but she proves this to be a beautiful example of it. Well done to makeoverguy and his mom. Love this whole show!

I’ve seen a lot of the makeover guy videos and this one was exceptional because it discussed a number of details related to body type. Also I liked Christopher’s tone throughout the video; it was quite different from many of the others that were more informal and somewhat boisterous. Nice work. By the way, love the long hair on Christopher.

Truly. I've had two hair stylist in my life who were gifted. This is a heaven blessed talent, I don't know that it can be taught. One stylist in the 80's was so incredible I would just be in shock! (She stopped cutting and sting and would only do color.) Staring at myself, trying to figure out what she was doing that I couldn't duplicate. My mom would say, "You look like the cover of a magazine? Why can't you do that?" I don't know. I do the best I can. I'm not a pretty girl, I work hard to look my best. Another stylist five years ago, was AMAZING and I was determined she would teach me. It was incredible to feel pretty. At the end of our session she said, now I won't be here any longer, I'm moving. 😢😭 You've got to be kidding me?
