Absolutely agree stop trying to be funny and get straight to the point . I totally understand that these are just opinions , but people come to these videos for information you can be taken more seriously by just getting straight to it , thanks keep it up.

@@rthilson Unfortunately, it may be not be distributed in your area yet. If you have a liquor stop you frequent, ask the owner if he or she can special order it for you with no up charge. It's crazy how distribution works, sometimes it's very political.

The Wild Turkey family of bourbons are great. I will gladly take their stuff over most allocated bottles any day. There are so many great picks on the shelves, it really isn’t worth the hassle to chase the allocated stuff.

Just got my first Russell's Reserve single barrel @ $63 at ABC here in Florida. I've never spent that much money on a 750 ml bottle of bourbon being perfectly fine with Evan Williams bottle and bond 100 proof. The long finish on this Wild Turkey product makes it worth the money, I really like it.

I used to hate wt101. Now it's always in my collection along with other wild turkey products. I'm going to get around to trying that wilderness trail bourbon. Awesome video as always.

Great video. It’s so easy to get caught up in the hype for certain allocated and hard to find bottles, this video shows why you shouldn’t, very useful. Loving the channel, the balance of history, tasting notes and conclusions is perfect 👌🏻

Great list!! I was kinda surprised to see Woodford Double Oaked on this list, because I work at a big chain liquor store and that is impossible to keep on the shelves. You definitely included a lot of my faves so that makes me feel like I might know what I’m doing.

Good selections. Definitely some that I have and keep on the shelf. Coopers was a recent find myself and to your point a great little bourbon. Bowman another great pick. And you can’t go wrong with the Knobb Creek. Love Knobb in an Old Fashion as well as a sipper.

Great video! Love the recommendations. Ironically, people are now waiting in line at one of my local liquor stores for the JDSBBP. Luckily I can still find it down the road in a smaller store, but it's catching on for sure. Totally agree on the Four Roses SBS as well--an amazing value for $59.99 (and sometimes I can even find it a little cheaper). Cheers buddy!

Nice to see you presented a number of my favorites! I always try and have bottles of OG 114, Four Roses Small Batch Select, and Woodford Double Oaked. Have a nice Remus barrel pick on hand currently. I'll definitely be trying some of the others you presented! I wasn't initially impressed with Wilderness Trail when it launched, so the added time might be what it needed. Met the master distiller before launch and was impressed with his philosophy. I'll give it another try.

Why? Put a Rye mashbill in a Wheated bottle! Two completely different bourbon. Maybe put Makers Mark in the Weller bottle and like someone else said WT in a Blantons bottle.

The high proof bourbons were difficult for me to start with with but now that I've been around the block I can say/recommend them as the best. Rare breed, Woodford double oak, and knob creek are cream of the crop and impossible to beat on value and taste.

Went back to this vid again after a few months of building my collection and taste testing. In this time of what seems like bourbon mania, going after value is for me, as a longtime bourbon fan and sipper, the way to go. The recommendations have held up very very well. Of all the videos I have watched in the last 6 months, I think this information is the most valuable to date! I agree 100% about all the allocated stuff people chase vs what you have provided here, especially the BTAC special allocations. Don’t get me wrong, I love BTAC, but the hype in the marketplace has caused literal hysteria with regards to pricing! Great work!

This is so what my style and price point is! I’m a newbie and I’ve had all the expensive whiskeys and at this point in my journey, I don’t notice a difference! Great video! Go Bucks!

Hi David. I've told a couple newbies here that you should give Old Forester 100 proof a try. It's low risk at about $20 to $25 and most people think it's bottom shelf because it has a screw cap and a low price but it's my favorite whiskey. If you need further proof, look up the 2020 San Francisco Spirit Awards and see that it won double-gold in a field where it was competing against whiskies 10x the price. Can't recommend it enough.

You hit on so many of my favorites. I hate Jack Black but the Single Barrel Barrel Proof gives me total life. Belle Meade is a favorite and I love working around the corner from the distillery.

I like the Old Granddad BIB and Four Roses Small Batch Select (available at Costco for good price). I would also include some Evan Williams brands especially the Single Barrel.

Great video . Bib and Tucker has become an everyday favorite of mine and Makers Mark 2019 RC6 I recently discovered and fell completely in love with. The 2020 PR5 underwhelmed me and left me wanting to swap it for another RC6. Actually I bought 3 more bottles of RC6 to save for he future. Just subscribed and will explore more of your videos!

I’ve been drinking bourbons for about three to four years or so. Just started really expanding my varieties in the last six months. Your channel is great. So much information and backstory and good picks. I appreciate it. I bought things that I never would have had I not watched your channel. Jason, great topic and bottles. Like you say, so many of us get caught up in the hype and glamour of the high priced spreads, overlooking these pours. FYI, on the JDSBBP, noticed they also offer in a 375 ml if people want a smaller sampler to try out. Wish more bottlers would do that!! CHEERS!

Never bought or liked any JD product until this. It opened my eyes to high proof whiskey. The banana note is the only thing that keeps this from being a regular sipper for me. But appreciate it nonetheless!

Great job and I agree with most your comments. I just finished a bottle of Coopers recent with my wife and have moved on to a bottle of Russels 10 year. Both delicious for the price. I had to buy a bottle of horsey Blantons when we were at the Buffalo Trace distillery as they dumped it that day and it was available. We will see what we like better.

Rare Breed is a sleeper !! "smooth" because idk anything about notes and taste but that vanilla caramel at the start is AMAZING

I'm surprised that Evan Williams didn't make his list. Evan Williams is my go-to bourbon. At $15 a bottle is an exceptional value. I believe that it should have made it somewhere on his list.

Quite right. EW is my daily sipper...everything you want in a bourbon. But don't miss out on the Evan Williams Single Barrel. Pound for pound, one of the best whiskeys you'll ever have.

@@SpookyApparition If you haven't tried Evan Williams bottled and bond you should, at $20 a bottle it's a find. At 101 proof it's exceptionally smooth, makes excellent old fashions, or Manhattans.
