Theme of Hope (Remix) - PMD: Gates to Infinity【COLLAB WITH NATHAN】

Another collab remix! This time, it's with my good pal Brotad, and it's a remix of the Theme of Hope from Gates to Infinity!

Finally, another proper remix coming out from me, although this is in collaboration with a friend, so I can't claim that it's completely mine! Brotad actually reached out to me for this one, so the bulk of the remix was his idea. I had a load of fun with this one, we had a great time bouncing ideas around and to see this final product here is so exhilarating!
The piece is predominantly electronic, and a lot of the drops are EDM inspired. It does retain the source's 3/4 time signature for a lot of the remix, but it shift to 4/4 in the latter half just to spice things up. Our styles actually meshed so well together that we both ended up working on every individual section, so there isn't one bit of the remix that is mine or his entirely. I'm really proud of this mix, and I'm pretty sure Brotad is too!

This song... helped me finally say goodbye to my ex-fiancee after she left me. Something inspiring in it. Like, I can be happy again. It helped me get closure. She and I met over and had a lot of our relationship based in our mutual love of the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon community. it all started back in the Gates to Infinity era to boot. This just kind of makes me accept it all somehow. I don't know why or how, but it does. I guess because, to me, this sounds a bit like credits music. The end of something beautiful, and worth it. Rather roundabout comment, but in the end all I mean to say is, thank you for making this.

I honestly don't care about any other opinion. Gates to Infinity will always be my all time favorite game. If I never played it I probably wouldn't care for pokemon as much as I do right now. Thanks for bringing memories back And @Axew Gates Thanks for being with me as a loyal friend

I keep trying to listen to this all the way through and still haven't reached the end since it makes me too emotional. The last song to do this was an orchestral remix of Don't Ever Forget. Say what you want about Gates, I always found it to be more touching than even PMD2. Great job, I hope to see more Mystery Dungeon remixes from you.

This is epic! If you ask me, this sounds like you're fighting a battle that everything is dependent on (ie Kyurem battle), and you're full of hope while doing so, you have only hope left and by golly you sure have that in spades. Like the GTI partner...full of joy and life, never fearing being stared in the face by death, instead of cowering you punch it in the face.

This is amazingly executed. I haven't heard the original, as I haven't taken the time to listen to PMD soundtracks, minus the beginning of GTI's, but this...this is my new favorite by the both of you too, eclipsing Forceful Shadows and Brotad's Planet Wisp mix. Well-done, both of you!

I've been considering getting Gates and Super, and if I'm remembering correctly, the others are on Wii U Virtual Console. So yeah, definitely going to check out at least 1 game in the series soon, likely Gates, because it's apparently a good entry point into the series.

Not that there is anything wrong with it but, there aren't a whole lot of good remixes that would fit in the game that original song is made for. For example, this is an amazing remix but there isn't really a place that it would fit in the game, other than the credits. I end up listening to the original versions of video game music more because they tend to fit with the environment of the game. That's just a thought though.

Well, the intention, or at least my intention with my content, is to re-imagine themes, and not so much to fit it to the original, so that's why, a lot of the time, remixes don't. I can see where you're coming from, but that isn't the point of remixes. Thanks for the kind words though!

Don't get me wrong, re-imagined music is awesome. Taking the same song and playing differently, but it can still be recognized as that original song is amazing. But I haven't heard a whole lot of good remixes that make the original sound better without drastically changing the base song. Do you know any PMD artists that do that?

There are plenty of orchestrators and arrangers that fit your needs! Bespinben, threelines3, OWN EYE MUSIC, just to name a few, TGH also had a remastering project a while back as well, so you can definitely check them out! If you're looking for new gen PMD then look no further than my pal 1f1n1ty! And of course there are many remixers out there that have done great renditions of PMD themes without having as their main content - GlitchxCity, Kamex, NoteBlock, HappyDragonite, the list goes on! I suggest you check out all of these people, and MORE! Seriously, I don't trust you when you say a lot of remixes aren't giving you what you need haha. If you haven't found what you're looking for already, you're not looking hard enough~

Yeah, TGH is one that I was thinking of. I also didn't mean to sound so cynical. I should definitely look around a bit more. But I swear, no matter how hard I look, I cannot find a single arrangement of Treasure Within Your Heart. I might do one myself since no one else is.

(ik no one will reply this but I'll do it anyway) Erm. It may have lacked of characters but I didn't really mind it. Also they did put some animations with some fighting scenes(Would prob. Explain why there's only a few) storyline is very GOOD!
