This is secretly the land I'm most looking forward to. This is a land that gives us a coaster, flat ride, theatre show, water ride and kid's play area. Most theme park areas can only dream of being that well-rounded. Also, the land's narrative concept of each ride teaching you how to tame and ride a dragon is fantastic.

The adoptable dragon concept sounds absolutely adorable! I hope they keep it!

I honestly do really like the idea of this land having more flat rides and offerings like the boat water battle, if they’re themed well enough then they’ll go a long way in helping to ensure there’s enough offerings to help spread people out, instead of just one or two major attractions per themed area like what often happens.

It makes sense that universal isn’t doing the simulator ride. It would probably end up being too similar to Flight of Passage at Animal Kingdom. I also think universal is trying to move away from totally screen-based rides for this park. Which is something a lot of fans will appreciate.

As a Berkian since the first film, i grew up with the films. Now age 23. I am so excited for this! And hope that all this happens. I can finally go to Berk. Love they’ll be doing a coaster

I’m so glad this series is being brought to the park, however I do think a flying simulator ride could’ve been the cherry on top. It may be a little too similar to flight of passage but I think this franchise has earned a spectacular ride like that, especially if it was accompanied by that incredible soundtrack.

Disney better be afraid. Epic Universe is going to rock Orlando!

I honestly think they should’ve added the screen ride because it would’ve been like a whole conclusion from the battle trading to the ride flying like everything is just the training bit and then there’s a final ride where you get to ride a dragon and then you fly through the hidden world and Berk and you do it like a romantic flight I think that would’ve been so cool and I really hope that in the extra space they could’ve maybe do that there I don’t know but I wish it was a thing overall the land is really cool and I would literally spend my whole money just to go there

I feel like the concept of learning to tame/ride a dragon only works if there's the pay-off of having a ride where you actually do "ride" a dragon. There should've been a wing/flying coaster or that rumored flying simulator imho. That would've completed it.

I think that the coaster could definitely be a sleeper hit. If you removed all of the theming from Hagrid's, the coaster layout is just plain fun with its small pops of air time and quick transitions. I know you didn't speak about what kind of train would be used, but I'm hoping that with Wavebreaker and now DarKoaster, it's another straddle-style seating arrangement that could reasonably be compared to and compete with Tron.

I hope we get the simulator eventually. Flight of Berk might seem like a copy, but would be a great ride and makes a lot of sense.

I was least excited about this land and now I’m stoked. This park really is going to be epic.

Even as a casual How to train Your Dragon fan, I'm gonna spend so much time and money here!

Thank you so much for doing this series! I'm one of the few that is most excited for this land in the the park and you have not changed that feeling. I am especially excited that all of the attractions in it will not once require me to don a pair of 3-D glasses! I get sick of staring at screens real fast in theme parks, not to mention tends to make me sick, so I am really happy about that.

That retention pond that you pointed out is definitely a spot for expansion. Before Skull Island was built, there was a large retention pond there for years surrounded by trees, so I'm definitely holding out hope for that area in the future... maybe 2030?

I hope they do the interactive elements in each land. One it gives them loads of money but also its fun for us. I like souvenirs that have a story to them. The baby dragons are like a combination of the Ikrans from pandora and the droids from galaxy edge, both I liked a lot. The Ikran was something that all the kids I walked by were excited to see and interact with (great was to pass time in long lines entertaining kids) and with my droid, while I know how the system works, how it would react randomly throughout the day was fun and I started giving it a personality and treating it like a toddler (I remember it started making worried noises in like for rip ride rocket and I was reassuring it that everything would be fine lol)

With the amount of work you’ve done to cover this park, Universal should put a statue of you somewhere in this park lol

I hope the simulator ride gets built in the future. With the popularity of Flight of Passage at Animal Kingdom, it would be awesome to have that same experience on the back of a dragon as well.

Wow the flat ride concept looks MUCH cooler than I originally thought. This is my most anticipated land by far!

Wish they got a launched B&M wing coaster and themed the cars to wings with a dragon head lead car with lots of near misses. Epic Universe appear to have a lot of rollercoasters of the same type / style. Looking forward to it nonetheless. It’s certainly the most exciting theme park project I can think of within the last 20 years tbh. Disney are going to need to react. Fast!! Considering how slow they move

I know it’s httyd but I really hope it doesn’t feel too overly stuffed with merchandising if that makes sense. I hope it’s really immersive and feels like you’re in berk. Joe Rohde level theming

This and Super Nintendo world seem to be the more complete lands. The new Wizarding World concerns me. It looks like it was supposed to be Fantastic Beasts then was changed when that franchise collapsed and now it supposedly only has one ride.

I have never heard of this park before. Fun video:) HTTYD themed area!? YESSSS! It's about time Universal made a HTTYD anything ride/attraction.

I know simulator rides get a bad rap, but this is the ONE park where I feel like it would not only make sense but would be an aggressive challenge to Avatar Land's Flight of Passage. I dunno, it feels like making a land all about people who ride dragons and not giving us a ride that actually lets us... you know, RIDE A DRAGON, seems like a massive oversight

This is going to feel unlike any other park in America.

My one gripe with this park is the lack of water rides. I know there is a splash battle but I think a water coaster or log flume would’ve really helped to round this park together. It’s a shame because out of the 3 parks only 1 actually has water rides.

I really hope that flight simulator ride makes it into the plans eventually!

Omg I am literally crying just hearing about this! I wish the dragon racing thing was more like radiator Springs racers at Disneyland, like actually a race but I have to remind myself it's still very new and not even open yet so maybe they will expand it in the future! I am a bit disappointed there isn't a flight simulator, but I am very excited for the roller coaster and especially the character interactions! I am really hoping the dragons are not going to be those characters that just stand there. I hope they are like the Raptors in Jurassic World that actually make their sounds when interacted with! 2:25 just saying that makes it sound WAYYY easier than it is. You have to move the wings back and forth at certain intervals and shift your body to to get the seat rocking and eventually flip. It is actually kinda difficult and exhausting.

This is my #2 most anticipated land behind Monsters. I really enjoyed these films with my kids. The boat ride reminds me of the one at Legoland down the street. The Great Hall sounds like it will be reservations only & I am guessing onsite hotel guests will get 1st dibs... or not. Does anyone think Epic will use a Genie+ system to manage crowds and experiences? I am just afraid the early months of EU will see massive crowds that might ruin expectations.

Universal should take inspiration from the How To Train Your Dragon land from MotionGate Dubai. That mini land is basically perfect in capturing the mood and the essence of the beloved series.

HTTYD, hands-down gonna be the coolest land in Epic Universe.

This is my favorite land so far. I hope they go all in on the theming, like Klugheim in Germany's Phantasialand.

Man I have got to start saving money!!! Since I live in Portugal it won’t be an easy travel, but you bet I’m going to that park as soon as it opens!!!

I know this land gets poo poo'd a lot, but honestly after Monsters it is probably my most anticipated. Not crazy about the boat ride, but everything else sounds great and I think visually there are going to be some many great vantage points and things to look at.

I was actually expecting a flying theatre and or a winged/flying coaster for this land so kind of disappointed that does not seem to be happening

Really love what Universal is doing with this land. They hardly ever focus on sufficient children friendly areas. This is perfect for parents who want to bring their younger children to Universal. Drop your kids off in Berk and go meet some monsters 😉

There’s been a lot of comparisons to Hagrids on the Rollercoaster. Originally my day 1 rope drop attraction was going to be DK Minecart but this ride is slowly shifting me towards starting here instead

I am so relieved that Universal listened to the fans! We don’t want screen rides and simulators, we love real coasters and immersive lands! This looks absolutely awesome.

This is the land I’m sooo looking forward too. Like most say, hope the theming is well done, it looks as though it will be. I’m really hoping the roller coaster will have just a lap bar like hagrids. I love the feel of flying you get on that ride. It would just make sense for that same feel if you are supposed to be on a dragon. This is what it is to be a dragon. 😉

My kids are 8 and 11…they’ve grown out of Disney parks….I cannot wait for this park to open as they will be the height requirements for all rides, the HTTYD theatre show looks fabulous!

Amazing update. It's probably the land I'm looking forward to the least and as amazing as this video was, my mind hasn't changed. I think it has a really solid selection of rides and attractions, though, although I feel a launched Vekoma flying coaster would have been a better fit (and something different) rather than another multi-launch sit-down.

This land like the others sounds awesome and will be heavily detailed. It also sounds like a great section to take your kids.

I’m a big coaster enthusiast and I’m loving what I’m seeing in your videos but besides the boat ride (which doesn’t look to get people too wet) I’m really astonished there haven’t been much talks of water rides especially with the heat here in Florida.

As someone who likes high-speed rides but gets dangerously sick when I go upside down in general I appreciate universals Porsche for having coaster rides that are slow and designed for kids but are also not design for adult AK having 8000 inversions in 2 seconds.

You thought Disney World banshees sold fast, just wait till these guys sell those dragons!

I was really hoping this park would have another waterfall ride, like jurassic park.

Everything seems great except for the stage show, the stage show could’ve been used for the center piece attraction which could’ve been a flight of passage simulator attraction in which the guests are actually able to tame their own real dragon and take flight around Berk with Hiccup and his friends. As someone who lived outside of Orlando and went to theme parks seasonally, my family would prioritize the thrill rides and E Ticket attractions and I feel like that’s how most people who live outside of Orlando feel. They don’t want to see a live show about people riding dragons, they want to ride dragons!!!! This honestly feels like the cheapest area of the park which sucks since it seems like Universal Creative really put their all into immersing us into this amazing world. Hopefully in the future the stage show can take it’s last bow and allow for a greater personal experience to take it’s place.
