This chapter broke me into pieces ! TT___TT Seeing Irumyuui in these pieces of memory and Faputa reactions it's jut insanely depressing ! And your animation made me cry ! That was perfect! I prayed until the release of this chapter for my favourite moth girl and now, I feel like she has to sacrifice herself and it's terrible !! D': I am sure she will work out with Nanachi, Riko and Reg by now but, I hope she has to survive ! She needs go join Reg, Rika and Nanachi on the journey TwT

This chapter its the one that let me more speechless. Seen Reg unconscious and bounded by that monster. Nanachi coming with sageness, not to fight, but to let Faputa know that her mother would not want it this. And the memories that Belafu give her and his death.... Again, its too much, all I can say is... thank you again for your amazing job! Is always a joy to see it ❤ Now more thatn ever I want to know how all this is going to end. I hope we can reach at the end of this arc together 😊

jesus christ mickell you animated this chapter in like...lightning speed or something and it's, of course, as good as ever! you can really _feel_ the emotion and it's quite the profound effect that really tugs at your heart strings! (well in the case of made in abyss, its a more violent pull on the heart) great job as always mickell!

This chapter arc climax is insane! It's going to break the internet once it gets adapted! But I honestly don't like how underutilized Riko is. She's a white whistle now. She really should be having a more active role in the climax. She's honestly underutilized throughout the whole series quite a bit, and that bothers me. Also, some thoughts that Idk if anyone shares with me, and I wanna spill them below: Idk if it's just me, but ever since that tease in episode 9, I need fulfill her repayment to Reg and Nanachi and have her own fight. She did say that cave raiders always pay back, and the wait for it is honestly bothering me. Since she's a white whistle, she should really be able to protect herself to at least some capacity rather than being totally defenseless. And she has the Blaze Reap. She has the potential to the blade wielding type. I know these are just my hopes, but I think it makes perfect sense and would really help her character arc, as it would make her a true white whistle. Someone able to take on the Abyss herself. And it would also teach Riko to tap into the force field even greater, the same way Reg did in S1. Maybe Riko will finally stand up for herself and fight any of the beasts now entering the village. I'm just so sick of Riko always needing to be protected. She's a white whistle with so much potential.

wow just when you think made in abyss can't get any crazier...so Belaf held onto his true feelings this whole time. I wonder if the other villagers will be able to "release" their true feelings as well

Chapter 56 or Akihito continues on his eternal streak to create peak fiction. There is so much info packed in this chapter that despite continuing the build up to the end it almost feels like a turning point in what is happening. Going from Reg being out of the scene for at least the next chapter, Faputa for someone guilty of her pain with Reg amnesia that causes Garburune to continue proving why he is Robo Dad as he realized if she killed Riko there is no way Reg would interact with her even with the memories back and so he sacrifices lets hope temporarily and so causing her to stop for the first time to consider what she is doing only to double on her anger, now even suicidal. Nanachi and Belafu entrance is just pure beauty, from Nanachi new helmet that has a top charater design, being capable of being full face and even feels metalic in its colors while also feeling similar to the previous one but on close look it contains the new details from the Sausage Narehate design. Belafu really left giving his all, both from the more than masterful paneling and dialogue he delivers, calm and focused on and only on what needs to be said, despite being destructed to a pulp by the princess, just introduction to the precious gift that has endured even his own self being lost in his martyr past before becoming a Narehate, causing him to ironically become someone almost opposite to the full of empathy, knowledge and beauty human Belafu but at times only the end matters as that past comes back with him giving the gift of knowledge to the princess. A gift to try to free her on that eternal rage and let her choose her future as that gift finally let her see the full picture of the story, living the happiness her mother once had before hell as she lives the memory Belafu hold as an observer of the bond between Irumyuui and Vueko he appreciated so more, and also letting her know what lead to it and true guilty ones, or one should I say as the other final gift of Belafu was giving Nanachi not only all that he had but also letting the Bun and them finally be for once a step above the so called prophet, or Wazukyan, the man with the insane foresight that has lead him to, with actions other might not notice, alter and plan the future to his liking, only acting when truly needed to continue the plan. Now focusing the plan on Riko, who anyone can see her energy and dedication makes her never stop on the journey to the bottom no matter what, and so being the perfect subject to eventually become a moving fortress that will easily transport the villagers to the bottom, but seeing things are getting ugly for him he decides to leave with Vueko as a security card against Faputa. Meanwhile we see the Princess in a beautiful but truly painful confusion suffer as she simply doesn't understand why one of her mother gifts is those memories, so opposite to all she has known in life. But no more time for memories as the creatures of the Abyss never miss a chance and they so the start entering, Turbinid Dragon in all its mighty size to the party. Such a beautiful craft, the soundtracks this time was on point with such bangers, everything, specially Audience and Gift was handled so well, specially gift to portray the past and Faputa confusion. The animation was also fantastic, specially when portraying all the info in certain packed panels. The voice act choices where also pretty good. What more can I say, once again your work is on point and in the same league of Akihito. Now lets wait to see how he will make the few standing ones deal with such an imposing creature that no one has managed to handle in the past as the only option was to escape but that option is no more.

I think Faputa will either sacrfice herself to protect everyone, or she will live in the Abyss with Vueko. Vueko is basically her Grandmother, I guess. Considering Vueko basically adopted Irumyuui and in this chapter Faputa was able to see them together "Like a mother and child." So I think if Faputa doesn't die, she will stay with Vueko and will get a 'true mother' in a way. I don't think Vueko or Faputa will join Reg and Riko - they're not needed and don't fill any important roles in the group. Sure, it would be cute, but it wouldn't mean anything. So I think Faputa will probably live with Vueko, who will hopefully give her the love and affection she needs. The healthy relastionship between mother and child. Or in Faputa's case, between child and Grandmother. P.S: maybe see about using some of the hanezeve caradhina covers? there are some amazing ones out there, and i'm sure if asked, the creators would be more then happy to let you use them! it would really make these animations peck!

It’s funny, in a way, Nanachi has become a White Whistle themself, Mitty was their sacrifice, and Belef the whistle, sure it was only a one time use, but we did get to meet a new White Whistle this chapter, and one of the kindest ones we’ve met.
