Please note that this is my personal take on the chapter! Whether its envisioned differently in your eyes is understandable but note that these edits are not canon to Akihito's ideas. I wanted to dramatise events present in the panels by adding small pinches of animation alongside the sounds I personally thought would match the scene if it's ever reincarnated as an anime adaptation.
I will commit to this mini-series as per usual, and will be sure to do Chapter 62 when it comes out!

yeah, it's these moments that kinda make made in abyss 'made in abyss.' its dark and sometimes depressing, but there are moments that just slow things down after an emotional rollercoaster of a finale from each arc. it makes the world feel real and lets the characters be people 😊

It really is masterfully paced. The fact that we can come out of absolute horror shows of chapters into something quite slow and relaxing like this an incredible talent on Akihito's part. Especially because this change doesn't feel daunting or forced in the slightest!

honestly the tone from this chapter and the ones that came before it are so wildly different, but even so this chapter is a nice return to peace (especially so with the return of riko's good cooking, which i honestly missed a little bit) and as always, you make it come to life and breathe with fresh air (or maybe that's just the smell of the meat stew?) that we haven't had in a while now...it almost feels comforting in a weird way....

4:27 I just realized something. Could this mean that there's a much higher chance that Lyza is still alive? Because now that we know that Riko can communicate with Prushka through her dreams, Doni could still be communicating with Lyza. Which raises the question, why hasn't Doni just said outright that Lyza is still alive after all this time? It gives more plausibility that Lyza is actually evil and luring Riko down to her for some ulterior motive.

We don't know whether or not Doni can sense his surrounding thus he don't know in whose possession he currently is. He can sense trough Lyza's sense but thats probably all he can.

You captured the peaceful yet foreboding feeling of this chapter really well. I loved the incorporation of the colored panels at the beginning and the sound of the wind and wildlife enhanced the scene even more.

This chapter is a just a giant bundle of fluffy, slice-of-life wholesomeness. It's adorable, and I love it. I actually re-read this chapter for the dopamine. It gives off Yuru Camp in hell, but all the characters are weirdos in the best way possible vibes. Also, I like how Riko just casually goes along with Faputa's sosu. It's a nice touch. It really shows how easy going Riko is. Also, we must make this a reaction template: 11:30

Riko adopting new languages to try and get to know people better is so accurate to her character! Like when they first entered the village she very naturally tries to learn the narehatte language even before being taught by Moogie. Its a clever through-back to her character. And so the calm before the storm chapter is here as there is finally a room to breath and reflect on the past for our characters, specially since while there was indeed calm to the point of doing a "biological classification" on the moth there are many things to be aware of as what Faputa words will mean for the near future and encounters, Wazukyan final word still linger in there and what dangers lies ahead in this journey and this new layer but regardless at least the Moth could experience one of the most valuable joys, specially at this level, a good meal as she can finally think on her long awaited future. Nice work on the chapter, it must have been quite interesting to go from a more action packed tone with the music and voices in these last chapters to a more chill one in this one.

The fact that he insisted that something terrible awaits in "the golden city" (implying that he is well aware that Iruburu isn't exactly the place that the panicked man on the boat who went into the abyss was talking about) is super mysterious and exciting. Most of our history when it comes to exploration, Good tasting food was like the number one necesity, that's the reason why they even make a country just to trade that shiz

LOL! True, the second most deadly thing in the abyss aside from the curses is the cooking. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Lyza's reunion with Riko isn't a very heart-warming one. Like honestly, I could totally see Akihito pulling the rug from underneath us. As if in order for Lyza to delve deeper into the abyss, Lyza is required to give up her "haku". You never know with this series.

Hahaha I remember when I first started reading Made in Abyss. I thought the world their in is beautiful, the characters are enjoying their lives and overall a dose of wholesomeness.... So lemme say this to everyone. This is a bait. Akihito just wants us to recover a little from the past gory things he dumped on us. Be ready for more of his antics, especially because it is the 7th (and probably the last) layer!. I myself am hyped at who awaits at the "Pivotal Ring". Since it has a connection to Reg, It might be "That Robot with girlish length hair" that cameo'ed when Reg lost control during the Bondrewd Arc. And Lyza's white whistle formerly being a huge monster/ narahate is wow. As always, great stuff sir Mickell, your just as good making action scenes when making softcotton ones. 7th layer lezzgooo!!! Ps: How do you make butts smell like potatoes O_O?

I'll be honest. At first I was a bit consternated that Faputa come back to the group, because I wanted to she leave to find her own adventure. However... I reflect more and... now I see that Faputa, as a characther, still has a lot to grow and show what she is capable of. Last chapther... was the END, but for Iblus village. Faputa's story his just getting started! And honestly... she being my favorite chapther... I cant not be happy about she returning... and probbaly stay in Riko's crew. After all, all of them care about her so much ❤ Anyways, thank you again for this fantastic video. i love it so much 😊👍
