This is a look back at Honda's redesigned CR125R motocrosser for 1991. At the time, the CR125R was the fastest machine in the class with a long and strong pull on top that pulled it to the front. Its suspension was rather poor but the early 90s CR125s reminded the machine of choice for experts and pro riders due to its horsepower advantage.

This was one of the best bikes I ever had, after changing fork springs and adding one tooth to the rear. Good job Tony.

I stopped watching the MXA interview with McGrath to watch your video.

MXA is not the mag it used to be. For a McGrath interview, for example, when McGrath won his first 250cc SX championship, the average age for the MXA staff was about 2 years old. To me, only Jody Weisel makes part of the magazine recognizable to me, and they ow me 2 grand for begging Yamaha to make the 2-stroke taller, for no good reason. But, "The Whiskey throttle show", (co-hosting Rick Johnson for this episode), just interviewed Dave Arnold, and that interview reminded me of segments of MXA all the way back to 1976. That show does not need avid vintage fans, (as I am too), as outside writers.

2 strokes and pickup trucks! Was behind one of those 2nd gen Dakotas on the way to work this morning in my '94 Toyota pickup 4x4 (22RE, Xtracab, stickshift) and thought to myself that those Dakotas look good.

The biggest question is where can you get the correct color red plastics for a resto instead of the current honda red that all the companies are using for their plastic

You say a lot that the shocks were bad in the early 90s for Hondas etc, and I totally can believe that! But what difference do todays dirtbikes shocks have compared to the 90s? How have they improved? They look similar to me and have the same "length" more or less. I guess the insides is different somehow, but exactly how? Maybe you could make a video of it too, I am sure many would like it and appreciate it.

"Time flies when you are getting old." So after 18 years of not riding, I picked up a fresh 2019 YZ250 2-stroke to get back in shape and have fun in life again, (try to make and sell some Horse Power parts for it). "I AM GOING TO LIVE MY USA AS LONG AS I CAN!"

@@carlosspicyweiner7865 How well do you do with math? It's a big problem for the newer generations, (need to sue your schools). There are kids walking into our local store who can't count their change on a regular basis, and I never saw that when I was a 10-16 year old cashier at my Dad's store in the late from 74-80. You,----are from the future. We have been sabotaged IMO.

It’s a sad thing, but I can’t remember which one I had 89,90,91. Lol. It’s been quite awhile. I’m thinking it was an 89 or 90. I did have a 91 kx125 though. Remember the blue forks. I can still smell them though, if I close my eyes and think about it.

I did not know you were a writer for PulpMX, but now I see why you wear that hat. Why would they need a historian writer? Write this for Steve to say please: "Kelly Smith would have won a championship in his prime, if he had a good mechanic that was not a goof ball."
