How often do you need to recertify for the NSCA CSCS?
Every 3 years. NSCA CSCS Recertification will be in 2023, 2026, 2029, etc.
NSCA CEU Requirements:
2.0 NSCA CEUs are required per year of CSCS Certification. This can be found when logging into your NSCA dashboard.
Does the NSCA CSCS Expire?
If you don't complete recertification, you will lose your NSCA CSCS at the end of 2023 or 2026.
What are the NSCA CEU opportunities?
NSCA CEUs can be earned through NSCA conferences, CEU approved conferences, internships, completing NSCA Quizzes, or through pre approved home study course such as Program Design 101 or Movement Assessment 101 by The Movement System.
How many hours is 2 NSCA CEUs?
2.0 NSCA CEUs is equivalent to 20 hours of continuing education.
How to complete NSCA CSCS recertification:
To complete recertification for the NSCA CSCS, you will need to complete all required continuing education units prior to the recertification deadline in 2023 and 2026. Once continuing education hours are complete, a current CPR/ AED certification must be uploaded. Lastly, the recertification fee must be paid.
What are the NSCA CEU categories?
There are 4 categories of NSCA CEUs. Category A involves participation in an event. This could include NSCA or non-NSCA educational events. Category B involves speaking at event or panel, being published, or volunteering with the NSCA. Category C involves educational activities including pre approved study courses such as Program Design 101 by The Movement System. Category D includes completing NSCA Quizzes.
