I did service it Mick. It was a terrible state and took hours to clean up 😅 had been stored with fuel in it which had evaporated and corroded the inside. It's the original carb but i did do a clean and rebuild. Anyway glad you sorted it out 🛠👍 Had new belts but drive i really don't know what was going on and didn't have time to do anymore

Nice video mate - I just cant understand why people throw away nice stuff like this. 5 minutes at the recycle area I can see a lot of nice things going in the bins - sad. Good fix! Cheers! 👍

Hi Mick, 3250rpm is a touch high. Generally rated at 2800 ish. I tend to set mine at 3000ish to give a touch more power. B&S seem to run more smoothly at that speed too. Cheers. David

Yes.. it have had it back it as it was not running right and done a carb clean and drilled the jet . Now running better and have dropped the RPM a little no running at 3060..

I notice the control cables have been pinched when the handlebars were folded at some time, that's a common accident that traps the bowden cable inside the outer rendering it useless. The inner cable once bent is a bear to straighten as it keeps twanging around inside.

What I have run into with that intek briggs engine, in the past, may not be what is wrong with it, but the rubber boot/tube/pcv tube, it splits in half right on the seam.

i think i seen cable move a little i also noticed the cable way forward on clamp so think all you need to do is pull cable back an inch or so

Hi Mick. I looked through the tools you used, and I didn't see the tacho reader. I've set RPM's on push mowers by ear, and driven mowers by how fast I can amble behind it. It looks like a handy addition to my other tacho readers because it looks easier to use compared to my other devices. And Hi Riley 😁
