American Beauty has been my #1 favorite movie since the first time I saw it. I don't think it will ever change. The depth of story, acting, music, cinematography, everything is top notch. She was amazing it that movie, absolutely stellar!

As other commenters mentioned, what about Ghost World ... I was watching a clip of GW ... that's how I got here. Amazing film, great roles, archetypes. A pivotal film. And now conspicuous in its absence. That was her shining moment as an actress.

Now + Then was a great movie. I was an early teen when it was released.

Not that she'd ever likely talk about it, but I'd love to hear her comment on Dungeons & Dragons, especially the "debate" scene where it seems like she and Jeremy Irons are actively competing to see who can give the worst performance. The more he goes over-the-top, the more she underplays. It's strangely brilliant in a so-bad-it's-good way (like that whole movie), and I imagine it must have been hysterical to shoot.
