The real success of Heartland was and still is the Amy and Ty love story. The dating in season 17 especially Amy's relationship with Nathan is simply the writers attempt to keep the storyline interesting, and not boring. I believe if Ty comes back to the show Heartland will continue with Ty, Amy and Lindy together again. If he doesn't return the writers will conclude the series with Amy unable to accept another(not just because Ty can't be replaced} because of her continuing strong love and feelings for Ty. She will conclude that her peace and happiness is with her as a single mother raising Lindy in the manner Ty would have wanted. In my opinion, because we had 14 years of this remarkable love story, whereby the viewers got to intimately know Ty, it makes it nearly impossible to erase him from the viewers minds and on a larger scale future Heartland seasons.

Can somebody tell me the truth on KZfaq? They say in Thai is coming back and a fan page on Facebook, says task not coming back. Can somebody honest tells a truth about if tide is coming back if not cancel a show.

If the writers can help Caleb mature and find his purpose maybe helping kids lay life foundations thru locl rodeo and other community drama with the kids, he and Amy can marry, work and raise Lyndy and his son together and Ty will never be forgotten or uncomfortable between them. That's my fave scenario. Like Tim has hung in there for healing, maturity and joyful, meaningful relationship and purpose, I love seeing each person choose to do the same. But since HL is a real-life drama, not everyone always chooses to do so, or sometimes take a long time ... such as Lou - come on, Lou - heal up. from childish narcissism and become a beautiful other-centered strong and loving woman faithful to a similar Peter who chooses living close to his family/community over gaining great wealth, and overcoming in finding important purpose closer to home.
