I think if it's a battle between you and a friend, get the gamed warmed up with ehat you and that person can land. Then start working in tricks that will challenge them, but aren't impossible. Now on the other hand, if it's with a random person, go for the throat.
@cyberinsurgent9910
@cyberinsurgent9910 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah this is why I always do a 2/3 GOS. Warming up is a necessity often times. I can't tell you how many times I went easier on a person only to LOSE because my dumbass took them for a fool when they bust out a pressure flip, a few variations or like a 540 flip after struggling to do anything nollie switch fakie or other basics. They will get me on some basics too, and not even because I Didn't try, I just stopped doing them, basically the Rust effect they spoke about... And it's not that I'm good, it's just that I often get asked to play with ppl more or less just starting out with a few tricks so I'm taking it easy. But NOW, I'm straight Throat Chasing like I'm on the Hub.

I usually go through all the tricks im confident ill land (kickflips, heelflips, shuvs, 180s etc) hoping opponents will mess those up to get as many "easy" letters as possible, then get into hardflips, inward heels etc. Playing against "strangers" i stick to "typical" popped tricks. Playing with a good friend i will definitely do some pressure flips, toe flips and bubble flips 🤣

Personally, I think it's up to the participants and their level of skill or current situation. For example, if I'm playing SKATE with a guy who is injured, I'd ask if there's anything he's not comfortable with, but if I was going against P-ROD, I'd just surrender to the sweet relief of death.

When ever we play SKATE, there's always 1 rule... u can't repeat a trick per game. So let's say I do a fakie tre flip and it gives him a letter, the next game, I can't do a fakie tre flip. It HAS to be a different variation of a tre flip. That way it keeps whom ever is competing and winning from just busting out the tricks you KNOW you can get someone a letter on. ALSO, I MUCH prefer those reeealy hard games of SKATE. Because after a while, the homie keeps getting you a letter on tricks that you eventually show up with and go "ohhhh you didn't know I got that now huh?"

Listening to this made me realize how much I use to take having a group of friends that skate for granted. Back when I was a teenager like 09-12 learning how to skate there was a big skate scene in my neighborhood and there was hella homies always coming through because we lived near the skatepark Now that I'm older (26) life has changed and everyone moved away and drifted apart and since I recently got back into skating I don't have anyone to skate with anymore so it's hard to get motivated to learn new tricks, and the local cats are all sponsored and traveling so I often feel left behind but it's my fault because I guess a played it safe back then. 🛹

I'm 28 and I resonate with this so much. As soon as I turned 18, all of my skate homies went their separate ways. I tried to keep skating, but the motivation was so low due to not having anyone to ride with. Then the injuries started piling up and I fell out of love with skating. Step 1 to beating Nyjah in SKATE....do any trick , but make sure you emphasize that you were not using your Apple Earbuds.... honestly I'm super curious what a Street League Championship or an intense game of SKATE would be like for Nyjah if he didn't have his electronic earplugs (Earbuds) in. It's easy to crank up some beats with noise cancellation. But doing that by training yourself to block out all the little distractions and using the ole Mr Miyagi breathing techniques before whippin out the Neen Williams flying kick heelflip...

I hate that there’s this mentality that you should go easy on opponents to not hurt their feelings or whatever. Imo the point of playing the game is to win so go for the win. The side benefit is that you will learn new tricks from playing the game. Even if you get smoke by someone in 2 minutes, who cares? it’s just a game at the end of the day. I’m taking peoples throats this summer.

P ROD keeping it real, as always. I'm tired of The Berrics' obviously staged Game Of Skate's that go from 0 to 100, giving the illusion to the audience that that's actually how every Game Of Skate goes down. I wanna see it how it is. I wanna see heads roll as soon as the 1st trick gets landed!

Umm your realize ppl go IRL to those things... Fuuuuuuuwk you mean "staged" ??? Lmfao... The ones they do stage, the obvious ones are MADE obvious but are you baselessly implying that the BATB games are staged when it's offical ones, not random unsanctioned events, which even then some of those aren't/the off the cuff ones.... Not sure if youre joking or not, conflating the ones that are or are just parroting other sh*t I've seen a few ppl say now without proof of. *I'd love to stand corrected. Ppl tend to take it EASY and then get warmed up on a personal decision level, not because it's staged and they really wanna break out a fucking blizzard flip... Like are the audience just PAID to react and all that shit....do you think they can predict how to land, when to land, and all that other shit you CANT when it comes to skating....If so fake why the hell are actual contestants NERVOUS and or proud of going as far as they do... *it's almost like it's strategic, as long as youre on offense you CAN'T get letters so throw shit out and it really is the LITTLE shit often times that puts up a few or even a lot of letters, but risking it out the gate lands you on DEFENSE where now youre in that spot and all you miss is a letter. Not everyone is there early and warming up and the first letters are warm up. Also we look at these beast for what they are but that does NOT mean they don't get the jitters and a number of other factors.

No one at ALL said they are trying not to hurt someone's feelings... How the fuck was that ya'll take away, he said they are WARMING up, this is a normal thing 1. 2. not everyone is on PAULS level, at some point he too started with those tricks... Plus it is skating, a kickflip IS someones worse trick and vise versa.... I guess he used the word etiquette so yall spinning it as if he's implying there are rules or HAS TO BE... Basically all he did was ask is it cuntish or not to start off going hard or not... *I hope you allow no complies and freestyle tricks or else if you don't it sounds like you have ETIQUETTE standards one can call it...
