As Pat and Gayle's ministry responsibilities increased, so did the tension in their marriage. After 23 years, Gayle reached a breaking point. Pat, however, held out hope for healing.

This is one of the most beautiful marriage testimonies I have ever heard. My husband and I were divorced after 28 years of marriage. And then God brought us back together and we remarried in December 2017. We have been married for 30 years. We are learning to appreciate each other, trust the Lord and humble ourselves. It is a journey every day, but we are thankful for another chance God has given us. This testimony encourages me.

Hi. During the time that you waited for God to restore your marriage. Have anybody told you that he's the one and move on? Waiting is not the god's plan for you or something? I'm so sad to hear thing like this. 😔

For those of us who are called to Ministry and yet to be married, we are learning and praying how to know balance, compromise, sacrifice and boundaries between our relationship with God, family and ministry🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪Kenya

glad they worked it out Find the stuff about him chatting with his mind hilarious. It was healthy self reflection and self conversation and there is no harm in thinking he was talking to outside force

Great couple/Great Testimony!! Maybe they should have waited a few more months b4 marriage?? Seems like too many people tend to get hung up on their own selfish desires and expectations when marital conflict arises. It is easier to blame others for the marital difficulties, and very hard to forgive and recognize our own failings. Beyond a strong biblical foundation, people also need some good, modern relationship and communication skills for conflict resolution. Where's the update on this couple? Never get to hear how these relationships work out!!

Does "forgive" mean to "excuse" someone's actions and behavior? I'm trying to forgive my verbally abusive mother since my childhood, but, she makes it hard for me to do just that because she still is trying to destroy those around her even today by attacking and bad mouthing others. I love her, but she's too difficult to be around now.

Forgiving has nothing to do with the offending party but all to do with who is being offended. I am convicting myself as I write this. Forgiving an offense start the healing process on both sides

Hello:) to forgive doesn’t mean to excuse but actually acknowledge their wrong but CHOOSE to not hold it against them. You can also pray to God(if you’re a Christian) for the strength to forgive because it’s possible to forgive even those who are so difficult. You can pray that God touches your mum’s heart and heal whatever makes her verbally abusive(maybe she was brought up that way?). If you aren’t a Christian, just want you to know you’re special in God’s eyes and He wants a relationship with you:). I hope this helps even though it’s a year later

Your mother is either toxic, carries anxiety that's controlling her or is carrying many past hurts. Pray for her. Ask God to bless her. Pray she finds peace within. And hand her to God. Talk to her gently and explain how this is hurting you and pushing you away... ask her to count to 4 and take a breath before talking if she's feeling tense. That brief pause might change what she wants to say. You do need to forgive her. Will keep this in prayer..

Read the KJV Bible and pray because our eternal destiny depends on it. Be ready to lay down all sin at the altar; even our apostate church and counterfeit day of worship.
