I'd love Rick or someone and a sponsor to do a series with James were he can take a couple months off teaching next year and film a series with him playing comps and practicing in preparation for The Open qualifying

When you have people as talented and humble as him sitting home watching the Open you know the average player has no hope lol. Like this guy is incredible was on tour and didn't make it. Wow.

I've watched Rick and Pete with QFTO and thought these guys are good and they have a chance. Then I saw James and I realized that the gap between the levels is huge. I love Rick and Pete... James is a different level altogether.

These Road to the Open series are pure gold! Wish there was something like this every year. Gives a great new perspective on the greatest major event of the year and brings you closer to the players. Rooting for each and every one of the players presented in these series!

Watching all of Rick Shiels videos has introduced me to this guy and the more I see of him the more I'm rooting for him to play again. C'mon Robbo you know you can get the sponsorship, go at it again!!! You've got hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of fans!!

Having watched other videos with James playing, I would say that there was definitely a difference in body language and several of the shots seemed hurried and not as effortless as he usually plays. So maybe mainly a mental hurdle, which I am sure he will overcome and succeed. If anyone deserves it, it's someone as nice and humble as James Robinson. Best of luck next time.

I was following him from the states, I thought he did great. He’s played in the open before and sounds like his life is in order. Think of all the guys that were practicing 10-12 hours everyday before hand. Best of luck to James.

Incredible player to think he struggled on tour makes you wonder just how good these guys are because this guy is an amazing player. Not just thst James always has his head grounded not bug headed etc I think we times he's gotcto give himself a boost try and give himself more self love and realise he's got what it takes to make it on tour. I'm amazed he struggled those tour players must be just amazing I've seen them live and even unknown tour players such fantastic ball strikers seen nothing like it

I'm 52 and new to golf. A former professional lead heavy metal guitarist. But a machinist by trade. And I never thought in my wildest dreams that I'd enjoy playing golf. To me it was always something yuppie college dudes played. But I was wrong. I love it.

Even in a 2-round format, qualifying is a sprint instead of a marathon. With relatively few spots on offer, a qualifier has to shoot low to have a chance. A couple of bad holes is enough to eliminate your chances.
