There's also difference/variance in how head or handle heavy rackets are within the categories. And that you could also have a head heavy round shaped racket and a handle heavy diamond shaped racket. The prior more likely than the latter though. Especially with rackets that have adjustable weights (and you can also use e.g. lead tape to make adjustments on both ends similarly to a tennis racket). How I've understood it is that the shape is first and foremost about where the sweet spot is: diamond shape = sweet spot near the top; teardrop shape = sweet spot between the top and the center; round shape = sweet spot in the center. The balance in most cases follows as described in the video, but as said you can also have e.g. a round shaped racket that is catered to a more aggressive game and thus has the balance point a little higher; more head heavy; as opposed to a more defensively oriented round shaped racket with the balance point lower.

I've got a Head racquet with dots on the surface. They're quite pronounced so I am struggling to believe they don't generate more spin than a flat racquet surface. Sounds like an assignment for Mythbusters!

Good basic explanation of types of rackets. Did i miss the part were the foam is discussed? Softer foam would react better from the back of the court, and maybe hard would be better for the attacking type of player. Does that make sense?

Yes we didn't go into the detail of the foam but more the hard/softness of the racket. It can be relevant to types of players but it's more about preference.

Thanks for all the videos, guys. They definitely have been helpful. I'm not sure if I've missed it, or maybe it's behind a paywall, but a video about hitting the sweet spot on your racket more consistently would be greatly appreciated. I feel like this is what I'm struggling with the most, as a beginner. Keep it up, guys. Thanks.

please review the durability of the rackets, because they break so fast. It's a bussinessmodel we need to step away from, creates so much garbage and waste. Same with the padel balls IT's A BIG SCAM to be honest. I played tennis all my life with 2 rackets (30 years). I already broke 4 rackets in 2 years time of padel... and they cost much more. Its a big scam AND I DON'T LIKE IT.

I played my first game of Padel a few days ago, playing with 3 people who are also new. Spent the first day trying to get the know the rules which by the end I believe we were nailing the basics. What do we need to know or focus on now that’s out the way?

Hi guys, really love the videos. I wanted to know if u could give me 1 of the rackets that u guys aren't really using at the moment, even if it's 1 of the old range rackets, I don't mind. I've been looking at the more advanced rackets and it's a bit too much for my budget. Please do let me know I you can asap. THANKS😂

is it really that the more the carbon K number the stiffer they are? I had the impression that different manufacturers have it differently. some say specifically that 3k is harder than 24k

You're right. Different brands use different ways. Technically speaking, lower K means harder carbon. However... Many brands use high numbers to mean harder because it's a marketing trick.

YES 3k is harder than 12k or 18k,this is reason why in 3k rackets usually is quite soft cores. When used 12k or higher It is compensated by using much More higher density core materials.

Manufacturing techniques like carbon orientation, layup thickness and resin and also the modulus and tensile strength of the carbon tow can have a big influence on stiffness. If by K number the manufacturer means the number of fibres in the carbon tow that is used, then if the fibre orientation and everything else is kept the same a higher tow should result in a stiffer frame. Higher K has slightly higher tensile strength, slightly higher compressive strength, also higher flexural strength and impact strength.

I mean, this video was informative, but not very helpful in terms of picking a new racket 😅 Also, an important question, WHEN should I replace my racket? (If there's nothing wrong with it)

Hello everyone, I'd like your advice! I'm an intermediate player of 1,80 mt and weighing 85kg, I've never played tennis and I've been playing padel at an intermediate level for about 8 months. My current racket is a "Head Delta Elite", the only one I've ever had and I'm only now starting to get used to it. I think it's a racket with a lot of output (power) and little control for my type of game. I used to find it very difficult to control, but now I'm starting to control it better. I'm a fast player who likes to go up to the net whenever the situation allows, I consider myself a bit of an aggressive player and my coach says I have a "heavy" ball (which comes out naturally with some power). I have some difficulties blocking some strong, fast balls at the net and also making some Globe/Balloons when the ball comes in a bit hard, it usually comes out with more force from my racket, but I'm already a bit better at this type of control. In attack, I'm not a player who does a lot of smashes, except for 3-back, I like to put the balls on the sides (like chiquitas), either parallel or low diagonals. As I usually follow your pages, I would like to ask for a suggestion from all the followers who think they can help me choose a new racket and as I have done a lot of research, I have been quite confused, but I have come to the following conclusions and I would like you to give me a Top 3 in your opinion of these or other rackets that I find most suitable for my style of play. After that, I'll try out the racquets you've suggested so I can see which one suits me best: Here are the racquets in the order I researched them: Nox AT10 Genius 18k Head Delta Mottion Adidas Multiweight CTRL Adidas RX Carbon Siux trilogy 3 hybrid Bull Padel Vertex 03 ctr Babolat Counter Viper Varlion LW Airflow Stop Shot Explorer Pro 5.0 Black Crown Python 10 Adidas Metal One Nox AT10 G. Attack 18k Nox Equation Thanks for your time, I'll keep an eye out for your replies.

Les “K” it’s stiffer, more “K” it’s more flexible
@i.m.2979
@i.m.2979 7 ай бұрын
Usually not, it is a bit more complex because you have to take into account the density of the carbon fiber, for example it is not the same a 3k carbon with a density of 200 compared to a 3k with 300 density. But simplifying, more k is more rigid...except a few brands like siux (less k, more rigid)
