Yeah. He was trying to keep him in the game bc Patrick is a savage and can’t help himself. When he sees prey weak he wants to take little bites until it’s gone. :)

Actually, since most non-regs (and even regs) don’t have a box/account at the cage or carry around half a million with them, Patrick was likely loaning him at least some part of his buy-in up to that point and was generously offering to cover him for even more than he already had. “Do you want 50 more?” most likely means he’s already covered him for some amount, potentially the whole $450K and is willing to cover him for 50K more… Pretty common in high stakes.

@@Messerwon exactly. Sure he would have to pay him back but it's still Patrik 's monies he's loaning out so it's still pretty nice. I mean they've all done it. Who knows how much this guy was worth during this time. We only had estimated net worth and at that time was close to 500M. I mean dude was in a large scam and high stakes organized fraud and money laundering proceeds of fraud committed by organized gangs. This guy has been in so much drama it's unreal. I'm not even sure if he didn't kill his "chauffeur" because he was a part of that scheme. Mouly, believed to have been the ring-leader of the scheme, was accused of having embezzled around EUR 12 million from a company he founded, IT Dealing. There were dozens of victims, both individuals and business entities. Pretty crazy story he has. I mean I don't know but if the 'chauffeur" was to talk and get a deal to catch the ring leader that would be a good reason to murderer him. He lived the attacking running to the police station but the his ya know died of multiple stab wounds. Fishy to me but I'm not expert and wasn't there but could be the real story.

I watched this full game some years ago, when Mouly sat at the table, he was playing very aggressive, over betting pots etc. and winning a lot of lucky pots, I kept telling to my self that this guy wont last long at this table, well i wasnt wrong

French police was searching him for a fraud and he was implied in a murder affair then he appeared on a US TV poker show. It was funny. He has been finally caught and got a 5 years prison sentence and a 500K euros fine :) Cyril Mouly's adventures, what a joke :)

People saying Dwan played like a Donk? The way Mouly had played had him repping shit like AQ and AK in that last hand. I don't think going all in is the right move coz if another diamond comes on the river you can GTFO the hand. Mouly also played the hand right. Sometimes you get hit with a cooler.

If board pairs to an aggressive player like Dwan you probably shouldn't fold a flush. And if Dwan had a diamond in his hand you want all the money in on turn with an extra 2 of his outs gone and likely not being to be able to get action on river if he missed. Its just a cooler spot.
