This is a character I have considered using in my Alpha Legion to work along my Headhunter Warpsmith. It has the same idea of fishing for 6’s during the shooting phase. The Headhunter warlord trait acts like Flames of Spite except it’s for shooting and can only be used on Pistol or Rapid Fire weapons. The Warpsmith has three guns that are all treated as pistols and can all be shot at the same time. One of which is a flamer. The relic I use on him is usually Mindveil so he can move super fast.

You could use the master of executions with nighthaunters curse and warps malice. This combo is dubbed the DANK Master by Bricky of adeptus ridiculous

A cheeky character I quite like is the sisters of battle 'Bonkmata' Bloody Rose Dogmata - 65pts, 2CP On charge -BS3 4A S5 AP3 D2 6's to hit explode WLT: Blazing Ire - +1 A, can advance and charge Relic: Chaplet of Sacrifice - reroll all hits, can use an epic deeds strat for free once per game, on death leave the model where it is and either fight or shoot at the end of the phase. Hymn: Psalm of Righteous Smiting - +1S, +1A, +1AP, fight again at the end of the fight phase. So in effect: don't use the hymn like normal in the command phase, advance and charge at the enemy (on average about a 16.5" threat range). On a successful charge you use Fiery Oratory for free (because of the relic) to auto-intone your Hymn. If you're fighting a unit with a W characteristic of 5 or more, you can also use Outrage of the Matriarch for CP giving you +1 to wound, and 6's to wound are +2 AP if you feel like it So now you have: BS3 6A S6 AP4 D2 reroll all hits, 6's to hit explode And now the fun part, at the end of the fight phase you can fight again, which is nifty. BUT, if the enemy kills you first, your relic pops, which means your model stays there in engagement range and you will fight on death. Since it's your turn though, you can pick the order of operations and at the end of the phase fight again from your hymn, and then AGAIN from the relic. Letting you do: BS3 18A AP4 D2 rerolling all hits with 6's to explode (which of course you can pop extra strats) This lil' lady always swings way above her weight class for me and terrifies my foes

Cool build video. One suggestion for a video(s) idea is going through the list of playable weapons in 40k. There is an incredibly small number of yt vids talking about 40k weapons. Maybe introduce each with light lore, rules governing them, and when you'd decide to put them in your list over other choices.

I think the 2+ save is due to the character being a Warpsmith. These have a 2+ save even on foot (artificer armour).

I call it the blooded claw it's a daemon prince of khorne for night lords any of the melee options are fine between the sword, axe, and second Talon as you need for points but you give him killing fury for d3 attacks first round of combat and always wanton slaughter, next give him the relic claw of the stygian count which grants 2 extra attacks at strength +3, ap3, 2 damage and the damage can't be ignored. Bit of extra spice give him the scourging chains relic to improve ap by 1 and subtracting enemy attacks by 1. Altogether this means 10 attacks minimum at strength 10 ap4 2 damage give him fly too and he can zoom af too

This character isn't the most interesting, but I do think their output is flexible to the point of being noteworthy; It's a CSM Dark Apostle with 'The Black Mace' relic and 'Omen of Potency' chant. complimented by a psyker using Diabolical Strength. You can also add in Mark of Khorne and the Hatred Incarnate WLT. What do they do though? They make 11 (5 + 3 + 2 + 1 for base, chant, spell and WLT) Strength 10 (4 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 1 for base, weapon, spell, WLT and mark of Khorne) Attacks which hit on two's with rerolls. On turn 3+ the 6's to hit also explode. The black mace relic is AP2, so not the most impressive, but will force invulns out of most anything that has them, but more importantly, it's Damage 3, and excess is still allocated to the unit (it's kinda like having mortal wounds with a save attached) you can then add either Talisman of Burning Blood or a defensive relic to taste. I play Red Corsairs personally, so they can also Advance and Charge in the same turn.

I used to run an IW Disco Lord before the 9thed codex. Insidium + Iron Without made it a T7, 13 Wound 2+ 5++ 5+++. I used it when Tau railguns were big, he could reliably eat a railgun shot every turn and Regen it back by the next one.

I actually ran a near-identical build a couple of months ago while running Iron Warriors and can attest that it's very funny sprinting across the board and immediately shredding a Death Company dreadnought. I wound up taking the Mark of Slaanesh for the fights-first buff and its respective daemon weapons relic (two weapons each get d3 more attacks) instead of running Undivided though.

Here’s a Master of executions I think might be good: Word bearers legion Mark him slaanesh for that fight first, - 2cp give him the trait exalted possession And give him the relic intoxicating elixir. Put him in a group of 9 chosen in a rhino so they can get up the board.

Surely no mortal wound bomb can compare to the dripped out Farseer Skyrunner Hail of Doom Craftworld trait (6s to hit cause a mortal wound with shuriken weapons) Kurnous Bow relic (Pistol 3 Shuriken that deals mortal wounds instead of damage) Mark of the Incomparable Hunter trait (ranged attacks +1 strength, 6s to wound cause mortal wounds) With Smite and Executioner spells Here's a rundown: -Use strands of fate dice to guarantee all 6s to hit (sure some luck is involved) -Farseer pulls up on his bike and shoots 3 times with his pistol, Hail of Doom causes 3 mortal wounds (3 total) and the wording means that it also triggers the warlord trait to auto wound, and deal 3 mortal wounds (6 total), the damage from the pistol itself deals 3 more mortal wounds (9 total) -Smite and Executioner to deal another 4 mortal wounds on average -Use Battle Focus ability to run away back into cover 11 mortal wounds MINIMUM, averages way more depending on psychic phase, from a character that's moved itself back into cover ready to do it again next turn

One of my favorite characters I made is my custodes Blade Champion. I run him as Shadowkeepers which makes it to where he can reroll the wound roll against characters and I give him the lockwarden Warlord trait which makes him ignore Invulns but I'm not done! I give him a second Warlord trait called Radient Mantle which makes it to where you are -1 to hit in melee. The blade champion has it to where 1-3 auto fail so now you can only hit him on 5s in melee but wait there's more! I give him the "Eagles Eye" Relic which gives him +1 wound and a 1 time 3++ invuln for anything spooky. So I can hit you for AP4 re rolling all my wounds and since I ignore invulns unless you have a 2+ armor save you don't get a save against him. He needs a name. I'm trying to come up with one.

I have an idea for a smash sorcerer equivalent for CSM. To start, you’ll need a sorcerer in terminator armor, which starts with strength 4 and 5 attacks (the regular sorcerer has the same offensive stats but I wanted different choices of weapons). For our purposes you can use any melee weapon but I’ll be using the force axe. For spells you’ll want to pick up diabolical strength, which gives +2 to strength and attacks. For our warlord trait you’ll choose hatred incarnate, which gives +1 attacks and strength on the charge along with rerolling all hits in melee. In terms of relic you can choose the intoxicating elixir if you take the icon of slaanesh, which gives d3 extra attacks once per game or you can take the night lords relic misery of the meek, which also gives d3 extra attacks once per game. With all of these buffs on average you’ll have 12 attacks at strength 9 ap -2 and damage d3. This concludes todays lecture on the CSM smash sorcerer

A unit of paladins that on average can kill 5 big knights in a single multi charge, or 220ish wounds to a single t7 target XD If it flats your boat I'll type out a full explanation:) but either way, keep it coming, cant get enough of this channel

Like yeah, Hellstalkers should be a Fast Attack choice on their own. No argument here. But you know what would be cool on top of that? An Elites choice that's a bunch of Chosen riding Hellstalkers. Probably in groups of three. Make them the 40K equivalent to the Varanguard from AoS. "Normal" Chaos Space Marines ride bikes, much like "normal" Chaos Warriors ride horses. Chosen ride demon engines. Assuming 10th edition allows for something similar to the Arks of Omen detachment, where you can dispense with Troops, have an entire army that's just Hellstalkers and dudes riding Hellstalkers.

When the Salamander supplement released in 8th edition it allowed a unit of flamestorm aggressor to deal up to 186 damage in 1 shooting phase. That was nerfed immediately. Aggressors double fired if they had not moved. It involved assault doctrine for +1 to wound with flamers and +1 ap with assault weapons, +1 to wound rolls for nearest target (from chaplain litany), vulkan hestan reroll all wounds with flame weapons, strat to fire max number of flamer shots, strat for 1 model deals mortal wound with flamers on a wound roll of 4+, strat for 6's to wound have an additional AP with assault weapons for 1 phase (once per game), , and a strat for master-crafted flamer on sergeant, and finally strat to count as not having moved if not advanced that turn. TLDR: aggressors had base 144 shots, potential 24 mortal wounds, +12 damage from master-crafted flamer, +2 to wound roll, -1ap (-2 on 6's to wound), mortal wounds on 1 model's wound roll of 6's, and re-roll all wound rolls.

Literally the day after I discovered this combo myself for my iron warriors deamon engine smh. Although tbf I didn't think about giving him a deamon weapon or autowounds on 6s, just saw his massive amount of attacks and gave him flames of spite.

Would love to see your guy's spin on this character build I came up with: Hulk Not the most unique but Crimson Fists, Captain in Gravis armor. Make Warlord or give Hero of the Chapter stratagem and take the Imperium's Sword trait. Give Power Fist then Replace it with Fist of Vengeance. He's a little slow but +1/ exploding 6s on that Boltstorm Gaunlet makes up for that imo.

This is basically my Discobuild (though I run IW because my It’s honestly spectacular. Flames of spite and the techno virus injector is a one way ticket to comedyville if you’re not the guy watching his imperial knight get killed in one round of combat.

Tyberos the Red Wake + whirlwind of rage + hungry for battle + might of heroes buff = a fucking blender

The Vore Bat. A Flesh-Eater Courts character build. Ghoul King on Terrorgheist. A 6 to hit on the Fanged Maw attack does 6 mortal wounds. Give him the command trait Savage Beyond reason for exploding 6’s to hit. Yes, they count as 6’s to hit. Give him the mount trait Gruesome Bite to reroll failed hits with the Fanged Maw. Run him with the Feast Day delusion so he can use the Feeding Frenzy ability to fight twice for free. Use an Abhorrent Archregent to cast Ferocious Hunger on him to add D3 attacks to all of the bat’s melee weapons. The Vore Bat now can roll a maximum of 12 attacks ((3 base + max 3 from spell) x2 from Frenzy) doing 6 mortals per 6 to hit. With exploding 6’s. With rerolls to hit. Update: did the Mathhammer and returned with an average of 26.667 mortal wounds in a single turn. 2/9 chance for each die to get a 6 accounting for rerolls, average value of 2.2 sixes rolled from an average of 10 attacks. 2.2 sixes becomes 4.4 due to exploding sixes. 4.4 x 6 mortals returns 26.667 mortals per turn average.

It's kinda hard since I don't have the codex, but a build I've been toying with the idea of in my head is something like an Assassin Coldstar Commander for T'au. Take advantage of its speed to get weird angles, do some damage, and the maybe use the Fire and Fade Strategem to duck back into hiding. Plus some other Warlord Traits, Relics, and other available upgrades to to to just keep moving to be hard to deal with.

Salamanders Impossible to kill Character build. Terminator Librarian with the Drakeskin and Fire Sheild spells to cast on himself. Then using stratagems give him the Miraculous Constitution and Forge Master warlord traits and give him The Salamander's Mantle relic. Salamanders have access to +1 save against damage 1 weapons stratagem and if they do somehow kill him Salamanders also have a 4+ come back to life stratagem.

This isn't creative at all but, I have jammed it a couple times and I love it. Death Guard, Malignant Plaguecaster, Wretched Company. I don't give it a warlord trait but Foul Effluents could be cute just be sure you have the standard Toughness debuff in range. give it Sevenfold Blessings which gives 1 more spell known and 1 free reroll per turn. Give it the Daemon's Favor Relic which turns the 7 up for 1 mortal wound per cast to 1 always a D3 on 7 or higher. Your go to spells are Smite and Curse of the Leper assuming you target a MEQ with both spells that averages like 6 mortal wounds per turn which for 90 points and 2 CP feels good.

It's got great shooting with the CIBs and decent melee with the Thermo projector. She's dumb.

I have a silly Salamanders Gravis Captain Build: Warlord Trait: Forge Master (+2Toughness) Exemplar of the Promethean Creed for a second warlord trait: Miraculous Constitution (6+FnP and heal 1 wound In movement phase) Relic: Salamander's Mantle (-1 to wound) Supported By as many as 3 psychic spells: Librarius: Might of Heroes (+1Stength, Toughness and Attacks) Promethean: Fire Shield (-1 to hit at range and -1 to charge rolls when charged) Promethean: Drakesin (+1 Thoughness) Result: M5 WS2 BS2 S5 T9 W7 A6 Ld9 Sv3+ IsV4+ 6+FnP -1 to hit (Range) -1 to wound You could go for Iron Resolve instead of Miraculous constitution if you want to support him with an Apothecary, it will give him 8 wounds and a 6+FnP. Another option is to make him a chapter master and give him the Angel Artifice to replace the salamander's mantle for an extra wound and toughness on top of a 2+ armor save.

Sorta a psuedo Character with a similar concept for black templars. I like doing a primaris sword brother, with lightning claws, champion of the feast, and bones of mordred. That's the stratagem that makes them a psuedo character, and the relic that makes 6s do mortals. I call him wolverine, cause, ya know claws.

You can give knights a 2+ save with a relic and a strat also you can give them 26 wounds with a 6+++ so it's a toss up but still could kill a knight

I can't take credit for this one but auspex tactics had an interrogator chaplain with jump pack and teeth of terra smash chaplain.

So here's a character build that I put together mainly for the hilarity of having an absurdly durable infantry model that doesn't rely on wounds per phase caps. The main guy is an Iron Warriors Terminator Lord, supported by a Master of Possession and a Dark Apostle, all with Mark of Nurgle. The Lord gets the Unyielding Mettle warlord trait, adding 1 to his toughness and a 5+ feel no pain. In additon, as a relic he gets Insidium, adding 1 to toughness, wounds and strength but most importantly he gets the DAEMONKIN keyword which unlocks the MoP's buffs for him. The Dark Apostle knows the Feculent Beseechment prayer, adding another point of toughness. The MoP knows the Mutated Invigoration spells, adding a point of toughness and maybe even strength, if he rolls high enough. So now we have a T8 model with 8 wounds, a 2+ save and 4+ invulnerable, 5+ feel no pain, worsens AP-1 and -2 by 1 and is -1 to wound against S8 and S16 due to the Mark of Nurgle. But we could go further using strategems. For 1CP each, Grandfather's Blessings adds a transhuman effect and Dour Duty (due to him being Deamonkin) reduces damage by 1.

I don't have a fun or interesting character build but I do have a dumb gimmicky 1000 points Tyranid list affectionately named Tremors. For a little context and to explain some of the dumber decisions. This is my first time playing 40k in years and building a list in years and I was a bit confused about how to build a list and select hive fleet and warlord traits. And Battlescribe’s interface wasn’t making it less confusing either due to my lack of familiarity with it. Also it was my self and another friend doing two 1000 point lists(my Nids and a friends Necrons) vs another friend doing a 2000 point Drukhari army. I decided to do something gimmicky and focused on one specific trait. Terror from the deep. I bet the name makes sense now. If not I’d recommend looking up Tremors with the words Big Boy and that should help. We might have gotten a rule wrong or missed something but at the start of my first turn only one unit was on the board. We went with the arks of omen detachments. I chose Fast attack compulsory. My HQ was the Trygon Prime with adrenal glands scything talons and no warlord trait or bio artefacts because I couldn't figure them out in the ap.. And my fast attacks were, Two Mawlocs and three units of three raveners each two with spinefists(because I liked the idea shooting in melee and I always kinda liked how they just looked like Bio Brass Knuckles) and rending claws and one squad of deathspitters and scything talons.(because I couldn’t tell the difference between the claws and talons so I figured I’d try them both because variety. My final unit was a squad of warriors with flesh hooks, toxin sacs and one had a venom cannon the other two had more spinefists. Is this a great list? Probably not. Was it funny to see my friends reactions when the match started and only one thing was on the table. Yes. Did I win because my other friends Necron units shot a bunch of stuff and my friend controlling the Drukhari was trying them for the first time. Probably. It was also fun just showing up behind my friends stuff and tearing into the stuff he didn’t have on the front line.

Salamanders chapter master in gravis armour, double WLT for iron resolve/forge master, angel artifice relic gives you a hilarious toughness 8 infantry model with 9 wounds, 2+/4++ and a 6+ feel no pain. If you subscribe to the sunk cost fallacy, a librarian with the tome of malcador can put might of heroes and drakeskin on the chapter master to make him T10. Baneblade? Great Unclean One? Never heard of 'em.

You should look into cool boarding action builds for characters :D The word bearer mark of khorne Master of executions with the new khorne enhancement is just not fair in that format haha

My favorite votann is the punch Khal, it’s awful but randomly surprises people and does some good damage.

I hate saying this, but there is another, enjoyably preposterous Lord Discordant Build. Your First stop is within the Iron Warriors. This will now stop AP -1 from bothering you, and AP -2 now gently tickles you. You then grant them the "Unyielding Mettle" Warlord Trait, which now says you're toughness 7 with a 5+ Feel No Pain.. Your Relic is the Gorget of Eternal Hate, which for some reason gives a +1 to saving throws... now Meaning AP-2 Bounces off. BUT it also buffs your invuln to a 4++.. because why not on the Disco King. Top this off with a mark of Tzeentch, and you got a 190 point amalgam that for some reason can have a reasonable chance to survive TWO LAND FORTRESS MAGNA RAILS.. Because F*CK YOU, that's why. Bonus Points for an Auspex scan stratagem... But Hey, at least I can't have Techno-Venomous Mechatendrils to get 14+ Mortals.. Right?

My favourite character to run is a CSM Creations of Bile Khorne Daemon Prince with the Hatred Incarnate Warlord Trait and a sword upgraded to be the Zaall the Wrathful Daemon Weapon. On the charge he has 8 S12 attacks that hit on a 2+ with rerolls, wounds anything T6 or lower on a 2, anything else on 3, AP -3, D3+3 Damage. 130 points or 165 with wings. Zero Brain, All Smash as a champion of Khorne ought to be.

Alpha Legion Terminator Lord with Hydra's Teeth and Headhunter is fun

Another chaos space marine character is the emperors children chaos lord, with a thunder hammer, power fist and the slannesh daemon weapon to give each of them an extra d3 attacks. always welcome to use flames of spite again for rerolls to wound, its just a very good warlord trait.

I miss the Titan killer Abominant from 8th Ed. He was absolute rubbish but could wound a Reaver Titan on 2's, with his 4 Strength 22 attacks.

I have a canoness assassin that I like. Ive put alot of effort into trying to make our martyred lady worth it and this is a point in that direction. so. take a canoness, give her martyrs vengeance (our martyred lady relic inferno pistol), righteous judgement, and have divine guidance be active for at least her. when she is in the 12 inch range of of martyrs vengeance, fire. use the stratagem faith and fury, so you can use a miracle dice with a 6 for both the hit and wound roll there are many ways to guarantee sixes with our martyred lady, just have someone with the shield bearer warlord trait and youre good. so, now you have what counts as an unmodified six on the wound roll because of this, you have an extra -1 ap from divine guidance and 1 mortal wound from righteous judgement. thus making this a S9 AP-5 d6+3 wounds +1 mortal wound shot, that ignores lookout sir, that is guarantied to hit and wound.

With Dark Angels termis being what they are at the moment, I want to forward a psa to my fellow Death Guard players. I present to you the termi Yeetus deltus Lord of contagion with plague reaper( you COULD use manreaper and give the reaper of glorious entropy and orb, but this is a cleaner kill) Because they have hammer and storm sheilds, the usual go-to for the Death Guard gloming bloat is null but still cpipples re rolls, which is great against thunder hammers For the relic, I find that the plague skull of Golitha is great for this build (mortal wounds me liky) and, of course, skip this step if you went for the reaper Now here's where things get fun, equip the plague reaper with virulent fever for mortals on wound rolls of six (skip this step if you went for the reaper) Now, here are the calculations for the main build(do your own for the reaper build you degenerates) So, for the pre fight abilities with the plague skull doing around four to five mortals before even swinging Now for attacks, you got six, and with the Stratagem vermid whispers, you will get off about five on average. Now, I'm wounding on twos because of nurgles rot and S 8 and re rolling ones because of plague weapon, so all will be wounds with about 3 mortals with virulent fever and all of these attacks will wound if you use the Stratagem eternal hatred for plus one to wound So all five of the attacks are going to be made at their invulnerable save so only three on average will hit but they will drop a termi and you can use befouled incubators Stratagem to get an average of 2 motal wounds after the kills So for the end of the fight phase that's about 19 wound in total of which 10 are mortals and in the following command phase if the loyalists don't run like cowards you can use diseased effluents for another 2d3 So that's the Terminator delete button for ya. Zarakynel casts Phantasmagoria and then Cacophonic Choir All in range you can have -5LD + -(6 5ups)LD and then potentially take 6 mortals if you can roll a 6+ on 3d6. 🤡💩. I call it the Daemon Kaiju mortal-bomb.

as much as I appreciate a creator telling me that it is clickbait straight up, it really is not that clickbaity since u deliver on the title, having said that I feel like u could have definitely made a pun about ultramarines where the word fish is, marine=sea and all that jazz, point is that if u r gonna go then go big, I love it as it is though if people already call utramarines fish then disregard that part of my comment I just paint and enjoy the lore, Idk much about the nicknames that are used to despise some factions

I don't think this is very creative Nor very good But Character build I use: Word bearer's chaos lord: I like to use the legends jump pack upgrade but oc that is dependant on the opponent and setting. Upgrade them to have 2 power fists as weapons Take the exalted possession warlord trait and the "THAA’RIS AND RHI’OL, THE RAPACIOUS" daemon relic on both the fists And take the mark of slaanesh, mostly to gain access to the relic You now have a Chaos lord who hits with an average of 10 attacks (Max 13 minimum 9) hitting on 3's but rerolling ALL failed hits (word bearers) at strength 10 ap 3 and damage 2. And u got all the tasty word bearer daemon stratagems +they have a move of 14" with fly, but that is subject to the legends thing. But yeah, is it good? Not really? Is it expensive? Yes. Is it fun and or Funny? Hell yes xD

There are 2 character i can thin of in the armies i play. One Is for da and It Is interrogator Chaplain with Jump packs the calibanite knights warlord trait wich makes him wound infantry and bikers in a 2+ and the teeth of terra relics wich grants him +3attacks he can also cast 2 litanies with the chapter command upgrade so he casts mantra of strenght wich gives him +1strenght +1 attacks and +1 damage to his weapons and can cast abother litanie ti support anotyer unit So he on charge (considering the litanie Active) has 8 attacks hitting on 2+ s 7 automatically wounding infantry on 2+ and d3 The other One Is for custodes and Is a Blade champion with the pearless Warrior warlord trait that makes him do mortal on 6s to wound and the enemy can't reroll saving trows against him the superiore creation warlord trait that grants him a 5+ fnp and the Eagle Eye relic which gives him a wound and when you activate It a 3+ invulnerable save so he Is both pretty tanki and does a lot of damage specially against light infantry
