This is now 2024! After watching Posh lose out to Oxford in the play off semi last night, another trip down memory lane ticks all the boxes. Next season will soon be here. Trips to Rotherham and Mansfield.

The thing about this Peterborough United side was you were always guaranteed goals at either end defensively they were woeful only relegated Bristol Rovers (82) had conceded more goals than Peterborough (75) that season BUT no team across all 4 divisions PL, Champ, L1 and L2 had scored more goals than Peterborough that season. They scored 106 goals 20 more than the top 2 that season in L1 Brighton (85) and Southampton (86), 28 more than Manchester United they only scored 78 that season on their way to league title number 19 with Craig Mackail-Smith and George Boyd in particularly deadly in front of goal with 27 and 15 goals respectively and Grant McCann had the most assists in the league with 21.

i find funny is that when we went to wembley this year all goals were in 6 minutes and back then they were in 7
