Product training video for an Air Admittance Valve. The purpose of this video is to educate people in the plumbing industry about the benefits of fitting an AAV by explaining how they work and where they are used.

Helpful. I think I have a faulty AAV in my camper bathroom sink (I'm in the USA)... so I was trying to better understand the DFU rating on them. I think the existing AAV I have is a 6 DFU... but I saw some for sale with a rating of 20 DFU. I wasn't sure if 20 DFU would be better... but after watching this, it seems I should probably just stick with the 6 DFU rating because the manufacturer likely already did the math to determine it is the right pressure for our camper system. Thanks for helping me learn more about these little vents.

if I use this on my sink, how far above my sink pipe do I have to install it?

I have no drain vents. I'm thinking something like this might be my solution....??? Not sure.

CaptainYzerman sounds good I have same problem kitchen sink and basement slop sink is on same drain line. Or I would half drill threw side house go up 18 feet.
