If you love the piano, then you need to watch Quaragym-ai. Dimash sang the song in an empty theatre during covid. It is a tribute to his beloved college mentor who died from covid. It is a song written by the mentor, Keynes about a daughter leaving the family home to go to her husband’s family. The man on the piano was also a student of Keynes, They wanted to pay their respects. The piano playing is exquisite. The song has no extreme notes but it is heartbreaking to watch Dimash try to get through the song. It is very special. He also performs the song in his digital show but the empty theatre one is so raw.

I, also, had the same reaction as you the first time when it came to wondering why they did not give him a standing ovation--I think just about the entire western world would think think the same way. BUT--just so you know (as I later found out)--in that area of the world, in classical and other more formal settings, it's generally the protocol NOT to do so, in that for one example, it may break the concentration of the artist or for other various cultural reasons. So they are trying to be respectful. Igor Krutoy, the super famous Russian composer in white who later became not merely a mentor but like a second father to Dimash, would be an exception to the rule here, because with this performance (I THINK it was), he came out of retirement SPECIFICALLY to compose for Dimash and his out-of-this-world capabilities. When you see him in future videos playing piano for Dimash, you can generally assume that he wrote this piece for him. But all that being said, I feel that we, here, in the US in particular have become so insular many times that we forget there are SO many other countries out there with their own cultures or morals or traditions, not even mentioning music, etc.. Anyway, ANYTIME you have a question, just feel totally free to ask us Dears and there'll be a bunch of us ready to help you out with an answer. Having a blast watching you join us in simply wallowing in our Dimash!!❤😉❤

The man in the white shirt who gave Dimash a standing ovation at the front of the audience is Igor Krutoy. This was the performance that convinced him to get out of retirement and work with Dimash! I'd say that was an excellent decision. What an amazing thing to think you no longer can make a difference, retire, and then do something that you will be known for forever!
@M.W.F.1
@M.W.F.1 Жыл бұрын
This is a bit of an urban legend, Krutoy was never retired and he organised this event himself. But the real story is just as amazing; Dimash had admired Krutoy's work since he was a child, wondering why he could not sing for him.... and as he relentlessly worked on his talent, before he was even 25, they became close collaborators and good friends. Another dream directly manifested.

The man in the white shirt, standing at the end is Igor Krutoy. This is where he first watches Dimash. He is the billionaire composer who goes on to write songs for Dimash, including Stranger and Ave Maria, Ogni Pietra, etc. they don’t have any signed contract, apparently, just respect for each other and gentlemen’s agreement,

They had already met before this, and New Wave is Igor's event, so of course he knew of Dimash and had heard him sing before seeing him in his own show :D This is a very persistaet legend, but not true.

I thought the first 1/2 half was incredable but when he goes high and all over the place with his voice it seems to me like vocal gymnastics. I know he is very young. About 19 or 20 or so. I am sure he will be able to know how to work the full range of what he is capable of as he matures. He has a phenominal future ahead of him.

Hello, I’m from Brazil! For those who like information about Dimas' songs: Sinful Passion - The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio (Russian-based Kazakhstani pop music group, "Alma-Ata Studio", city of Almaty). The dead singer (to whom Dimash was a fan) left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash. Original Version: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ebRpmauozdTFj4E.html

This song is my favorite top 3! There are many versions and they are very different, the vibe is different... The best one is Dimash Moscou Concert, the fancam from Dimash 48 channel. He looks so fragile there, kind of really begging... And you can see his face all the time! And then the one from Arnau tour, the one where he sings on a red stage: he looks so like a boss, not begging but demanding... You can find it in Feels the Music channel. OMG! 😁🤯 You must consider reacting to Emei Mountain concert! It is 35 minutes long but it worthy! He sings while is raining so hard just to not disappointing the dears. He is so funny and gentle, talking with the audience... That video was the one that made me a dear forever! You can find it in Dimashzone channel. Hug from Brazil!

23 seconds in one breath with riffs and runs. Unbelievable. Btw he didn‘t win the Voice. He became second in The Singer competition in China 2017, because of not being a Chinese. Here he sings in a competition for young musicians, called New Wave in Sochi, Russia. He was there in 2018 as a guest. The musicians who accompany him are called A-Studio. It's a Kazakh band that wrote this song in 1998. However, Dimash sang it differently. And in my opinion much better 😄. Please also react to some really great fancam versions one from the Moscow concert: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/q958m9qXq6y5gac.html and another one from the Arnau concert: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/j7B1n6p5l87Vpas.html They are all a bit different but all wonderful.

The band named A'Studio that accompanies Dimash, is the same one that composed the song minus the lead singer named Batyrkhan Shukenov, who died of a heart attack in 2015. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, (the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.) The tones in the middle are oriental Arab technique (or traditional qazaq singing, called Joqtaw. It is a lament to the deceased singer). The last run is 24 seconds on 1 breath.

@@NancyHole thank you for your response. At first I thought Sinful Passion was Igor Krutoys initial exposure to Dimash. I have read countless stories about Dimash and also about Igor Krutoy I can’t remember all of them, but I read somewhere ( don’t remember where) that Igor heard about Dimash and invited him to sing on the stage where he was in the audience and consequently began his collaboration with Dimash. I hope I didn’t misunderstand and inadvertently give false information about this. In my reading information about Igor Krutoy, I began to research him on KZfaq. He has unique and beautiful videos from the past that melted my heart. He’s very handsome and elegant to the max now but, oh my goodness, to seeing him in his past videos nearly knocked my socks off. He was beyond FINE. Of course he still is. And he’s so well rounded being a well known real estate mogul and being a $13 times billionaire. I read somewhere that he has a large mansion in New Jersey. He’s a PHENOMENAL man in his own right. Anyway, thank you for your detailed information about A Studio and Batyrkhan Shakenov. I love reading all the details about Dimash, Igor Krutoy, Lara Fabian. She does one of the deepest and passionate songs with the late Maurane, Tu es Mon Autre describing the pure love between parents and children, close friends, and other relationships. Ok, I will hush since this is supposed to be about Dimash. Once I get to talking, I don’t know when to stop. 😊😊😊

Dimash's deep and gentle voice... I melt away. What a wonderful song, wonderfully sung by Dimash. Did you hold your breath? 🤣 The final run was 23 seconds with one breath. 👏👏👏 Dimash sings here as a guest on the New Wave 2018 (international competition). Igor Krutoy, the man in the white shirt at the end, a famous Russian composer, music titan and initiator of the New Wave had invited him. Now, both are a "Dreamteam" and work together from time to time. They are friends, have a father-son-relationship. ... and of course Dimash donates the many flowers to hospitals and retirement homes. The band that Dimash accompanies at this performance called A’Studio, who composed and performed “Sinful Passion” in 1998. The band is also from Kazakhstan (Dimash's homeland) and this Dimash performance has revived the song. *Original: A'STUDIO - Грешная страсть - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ebRpmauozdTFj4E.html The glottal - stops is a throat singing technique called "bleating", “goat's trill” or „Trillo caprino/ little goat“ used by the indigenous peoples of the Far East. In Iran called this technique „tahrir“. Bleating or tahrir is a tremolo-like repetition of a single pitch. It is the result of the larynx alternately resisting the excessive breath and letting it go. * Maryam Akhondy - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oaeHicWd1qqngmQ.html * Sainkho Namtchylak - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ibmhebaYteDHmIk.html * Diana Ankudinova - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/e9N9q7KnmrPYqXk.html

@@kuka7675 Yes, Dear, this rumor has been circulating for years. There is no evidence. Жоқтау - are elegies or lamentations, not vocal trills. Dimash's father said in a video that Dimash uses a singing technique from the Far East. Да, Dear, этот слух ходит уже много лет. Нет никаких доказательств. Жоктау - это элегии или причитания, а не вокальные трели. Отец Димаша рассказал в видео, что Димаш использовал технику пения с Дальнего Востока.

Aren't we lucky to live in the same time with him, and having internet to witness? I am extra lucky to have some rectors bringing his songs to me. I listen alone to anybody, I laugh and cry, but for Dimash. He needs to be shared. "Too big" for me alone.

So glad you got to this performance. The breath before the 3rd belt then the set of runs @ 23-24 seconds on the one breath...simply amazing. Would have been amazing to sustain a single note that long, let alone those crazy runs. Dimash is simply one of a kind. Thank u also for playing the video in its entirety. It's just as important to show the true person Dimash is aside from his amazing talent. Ty. Mark
