A liar and a thief is exactly that. She needs to legally remove herself and that is only through divorce. She will soon discover he has credit cards in her name and when she leaves she will discover she is liable for the debt. My heart goes out to this woman because it will take her years to recover from this and that’s only if she gets out today.

Grandma has a push mower and he upgrades to a $6,000 mower? You can get a used riding mower for 10% of that price...might not be zero turn commercial level but it will do the job. In a marriage, you don't take turns managing the money or parenting the kids...you do both TOGETHER.

so my sister has been married to my brother in law over 47 yrs. When they met, he was 10 yrs older, had been divorced already and had a child with his ex. 1st warning sign. My sister was 19 just out of high-school. She thought she got the hard working farmer who's family owned dozens of acres of farmland in rural IA. Therefore, she would have a stable financial footing to raise her kids. No struggles. What really happened was his dad saw he couldn't manage money & made stipulations that he had NO ACCESS to the farmland till his stepmother passed. She's still alive at 90ish. Both of them jumped from job to job not caring about pensions because they thought they had farmland in IA to sell. Now neither of them have a pension he's working driving a truck in his 70s and they have basically been reduced to living in a 5th wheel. My advice is do NOT stay with someone hoping they change! Unless you don't mind being broke & penniless in your elderly years. Get out earn your OWN $ 1st , then find a real partner.

Trust is very difficult to repair no matter what you do. For me, if my husband lied to me about anything, I would never trust him again and get a divorce and start over. If it was me, I would get rid of the bum so you can have a happy life with someone who you can trust.

Jesus Christ... He's mowing his grandparents farm with a nice $6k mower. Not mowing every lady in towns bushes. I'd run right down to Lowes tonight and buy the toro 21" for $499 and tell her mow day is Saturday. She could probably get 2 acres done in a 4 hour afternoon, at about 3mph...

My friend's husband did the same thing. She put up with it until the day that she was evicted from her house by the bank. The mortgage hadn't been paid for the best part of a year. Yes, gambling problem.

@@nikolaig1 You just said you’re a counselor and I don’t believe that! Especially because your grammar isn’t great. Also, if you are a counselor you would know this happens all the time. John is right almost 100% of the time. Just watch one of his shows that involve financial infidelity and it comes out. Also, he has 2 PhDs and tons of EXPERIENCE with real clients so you’re not making much sense! He’s also not even close to being clueless. Taking his FPU class rn and he’s so intelligent it’s amazing watching him. Love John so much!!
