Should I give back the money? She needed to beg me and I saw she had money for other things and bs all around.. Very petty behavior from the family.. Cause they invited the daughter on a trip and because she was short and probably in need of money they also ate her deposit.. It is their right to like or not like or not invite anyone, but it was totally about money and issues.. They use money as an excuse to create drama. Dave, I just moved from one state to another. I had budgeted $12,000 for the move. It wasn’t enough! Yes, I did get ripped off by the moving companies…..it’s a big racquet these days. Regarding Matt who writes/issues call options against his stocks, Dave is not familiar with covered call writing. The only risk you have is that the stock that you own gets “called” by the option buyer who paid you a premium for the option to buy your stock at an agreed upon price. It’s a good strategy to generate income on stocks that you own. What is risky is to issue “naked” options. They are called naked because you don’t own the stock and if the stock is called you have to go in the open market and purchase the stock at current price to deliver to the speculator who paid you the premium. That’s what is extremely risky to do because you have unlimited risk.
@MrAbrin986

@@amireallythatgrumpy6508, well sure, it would be very weird to call people Dad if they aren't your father, but that's not what we're talking about. If you see a friend out in town and they have a parent with them, you wouldn't be surprised if they refer to that person as Dad even though you call that person by name. If you take a parent to the doctor, you might call that person Dad while they might call him Mr. Smith or whatever his name is. And if a friend goes with the two of you, the friend might refer to him by his first name. And if your mom goes, she might call him Honey when talking to him and call him by his first name when referring to him to others. That's just normal. @@chriscatullo7324Calling it the Fauci pandemic is basically calling it the Trump pandemic (which is ludicrous). Covid devastated many countries and killed thousands before it even got to the U.S. Calling it the Fauci pandemic ignores the reality of the worldwide consequences of Covid.

@@chriscatullo7324It was a pandemic and it could have killed me (I’m a heart patient). My friend caught it and it wrecked his lungs. He was on a ventilator for 75 days and still totes an oxygen tank around 4 years later. It killed another acquaintance who was healthy and 36.

Can the show re-post the clip about kids bank accts and teaching teens about money! A+ Dave wisdoms that I fully agree with. Exactly what I do for teens and college kids. When you are 100% independent you can independently manage your own money, until then there is a level of cooperation and teaching. I have done strongly encouraged savings for my big kids forever, half of earned $$ goes into a savings that I keep an eye on. Mainly to stretch out summer earnings and budget for bigger expenses like college and cars.

I listen to Dave Ramsey all the time but he does make some ignorant comments. I don’t understand the beef he has with Dr. Fauci but over a 1 million Americans have died. I’m sure Dave has an Accounting degree, but probably does not have one in medicine. He really needs to stop commenting on this topic.

Disagree 100% with Dave on the car warranty idea. Back in 2021, id purchased a 2019 Chevrolet, with 30-something thousand miles. It had already depreciated about 60% (was about $10K out the door) and figured it would be a safe bet, given how new it was, and the low mileage. My wife disagreed, insisted on buying the $1,100 100,000 mile warranty - and thank god she did; because despite us having it maintained AHEAD of schedule, every 2-3 months; the turbocharger on it blew up; and took the engine with it, before the car even hit 60k miles. To top it off, it was in the middle of covid, so parts and labor were practically non existent. 3 months later, the car had a brand new engine, and turbo; and the warranth company got stuck with a $13,000 bill (more than the car cost us) We sold the car a week after we got it back, no longer trusting it (despite a new engine) - and actually made a profit; selling to Carmax of all places. Yes, (generally speaking) you may not need an extended warranty; but it’s kind of like LIFE insurance. Never think you’ll need it, but god help you if you do/did, and never bought it Just get the warranty. You’re already cheaping out buying a used car.

I enjoy watching the Ramsey show most of the time, when it comes to finance talks. However, I also think it's funny if anybody uses anything outside Ramsey sponsors and partners are stupid and don't know what they're doing. Anything slighty outside his products makes him pissy. I also find him to be hypocritical at times. He talks about biblical passages, but advocates for divorce just because dude doesn't go on a budget. Some of his teachings are dangerous in that respect. Dave and crew need to leave everything outside of finance to the real professionals that specialize in these topics
