Happy Friday everyone, we have a bonus upload this week! Continuing the showcase from the Scale Squadron's Warbirds & Classics event, this week we are featuring Ken McSpadden's Hangar 9 Ki-43 Oscar. This was the first time I'd seen one of these fly and it was a really sweet flying and looking ARF warbird. Ken had the Saito FG-90 3-cylinder radial powering the airplane and it really sounded and performed great! #Warbird #Flyday #scalemodel

Hmm Saito. I suppose its the 3 pot 90. I have a UMS 7 pot 90 for mine. Makes it look more scale and a smaller diameter than the Saito.

Yeah, I saw that recently. Such a bummer. Everyone I’ve known who’s flown this model has said it’s one of the best flying warbirds that they’ve flown.

@@Thercgeek i think so and i love hangar 9 models, but unfortunately this is not a scale model. Especially the angle of the wings.The real one looks totally different

Based on what I’ve seen, the shape is pretty decent. Certainly not perfect, but I also wouldn’t expect that from an arf either.
