Because they eat shark and they’re fisherman who depend on catching fish weather it’s sharks or not. The only difference is that these men will never over fish like the commercial fishermen do and will instead appreciate what they got for food.

@@nickkreuzen6312It's not a bait and they aren't trying to catch that big white, lol. The smaller shark can be seen gotten caught by their net its still tangled in. They can't safely lift it to the boat so it's hanging outside. But the big predator has bitten it. And it's obviously not safe to detangle it now. My guess is that they ended up cutting their net to get away from this situation.

I've been on a small boat, smaller than this one, out in a little bay and we had a big shark swim next to us. We were all in highschool and drinking, only one of us was even fishing at the time. It was no wonder we hadn't been catching anything good 😅 I was more afraid of getting tipped over by a whale, which I knew was silly and highly unlikely. Orca freak me out more than sharks. I don't know why.

Most of the time these animals are passive, in fact, they just watch calmly. He is curious to know why his comrade is in difficulty. This type of accident is common, caught in a net, caught in the boat propeller.. But we cannot define with certainty that the other shark bit him contrary to what the comments here would like.

I would be freaking the f*** out and I love animals I've had snakes lizards dogs cats and other not your typical house pets I even caught a bat when I was 17 and had to get rabies shots after it bit me I'm not afraid of many animals but that's one of the few that does scare me.
