Gary, I'm super Excited about this! Thank you! We are busy building my start up called, Power Play. We set up businesses for entrepreneurs that either already have one or are brand new at the game. Specifically in the manner of efficiency because it prevents the "rookie" mistakes of new entrepreneurs and frees up the time of existing ones to focus on their current venture. We specifically look for people that don't have the time to set up a new business but have access to some resources to get started. We specifically want to focus on sustainable companies in the food industry. This one frightens the crap put of me because I realise its power and potential.

Thanks for sharing Gary! I think it's really interesting to hear from you how there is so much available capital in the world that people really aren't using especially since so much of my social media feed is very anti capitalism / talking about the wealthy hoarding cash making it possible for others to succeed. It's been a strange dichotomy for me as someone who has spent some time in the venture / startup space but has also seen friends and family really struggle. I keep trying to find ways to share as many opportunities as I can, but I've found it can be really difficult to persuade people to ask for what they want especially if it's something they've never considered. You asked us viewers to share what projects we are working on: I've been toying with a few startup ideas but as a people person / creative who is a non coder I keep getting stuck with ideas that are too expensive to build even if they would be great products. Currently trying to find an attainable idea that I can build on my own and continue to grow from there. :) Thanks for sharing again: started watching your videos recently and have really enjoyed them!

Hey Garry, hope this gets you to see it. For weeks I've felt called to reach you and this video has made me do it. As an industrial engineer and humanist myself, I've received a series of messages on spiritual breakthrough moments of my life, that over the years I've been channelling into the development of an app designed to facilitate the process to have an civilian alternative using technology (while still we have access to) in order to leverage on the deep values that makes us Hüman (as Trust, Reciprocity, Common Good...), while generating a user based local economical distributed governance as a first step, and other institutional developments in order to have our own jurisdiction and other features that... this is not the channel for describing it. I truly feel connected with the deep calling you do in this and many of your videos, thanks for your generous sharing of experience and inspiration. I'm sure it is time to get to know each other in order to deliver this alternative and many others to the world while still possible. Sincerely, Andrés Escobar.

It's not so much that the world is running out of ideas, Google notwithstanding, but that many ideas, at this time, are "dark" to those who hold so much money. Perhaps banks are so overwhelmed that they can't quite shed light on ideas sitting at their doorstep. I believe that ideas are more than plentiful and boundless.

Made me laugh! Absolutely Garry - speaking to an economist friend the other day, I stated that banks are dinosauring largely due in part to the fact that they lack the will to unleash creativity and therefore innovation within their business models. His response was - there is nothing they can do with the money???? I almost spat my coffee out. Here we have an economist, who shares his views with others, that doesn’t understand or blindly does not agree that stagnant money should serve no greater purpose than increasing prosperity through value generation based on that one simple concept - the idea. The face argument is risk and the “potential loss” of the money, instead of understanding the solid principal, that in an inflationary system, zero interest earning money, is in point of fact, actually losing money. Thanks for these awesome episodes Garry. You and I share the same outlook across so many areas, and I look forward to one day very soon, working with you on an idea.

You are totally right that there is a huge corporate savings glut (capital). One of the big problems is a lack of demand on the consumer side primarily due to low wages. I am not yet convinced start ups can solve such political problems as low growth in wages, but would love to be proven wrong.

Thank you , great video... In South Africa the corporations don't want other businesses to solve their problems, they want to solve it themselves and own the product. I have innovated a couple of products, approached the "big" corporations and either got a job offer or got my product stolen, wrongfully implemented and now see that it doesn't work at its optimum. But I fight the good fight, I will get there..

AgriTech is not a lost move my man. The population growth is not slowing down anytime soon and the need for food will increase many time fold. I would say Technology in Agriculture will be the next biggest industry from now and for the next decades. People investing in Agricultural Technology will be the next billionaires in the comming decades. Remember you may have millions in the bank but if there is no food to eat, there is no point in having millions. Unless you invent a pill that will make you not hungry for months, which I guess is not happening in this century. So Technology in Agriculture will be the next biggest disruption.

Hi Garry, I agree with your prognosis of the too much money problem. Solving environmental problems in Africa is a viable opportunity for allocating this money to productive use. Waste management and electricity shortage are two critical problems facing the continent. Waste to Energy projects make sense in this context. These projects align with circular economy and climate change aspirations. Africa is a risky environment because of weak legislative framework in many countries on the continent but also a promising place for bold investment . South Africa and Nigeria however, look ripe for investment in Waste to Energy projects. If you want to hear more about this, I will be happy to share more insight with you.

I've been working on a fitness/health food brand (new types of sausages, chicken nuggets). Although I don't really have experience in food, we've (partnership) been reading many research papers, books, and made connections with experts over the past year to gain knowledge and to formulate our product. I even had to automate my existing online business, sacrificing a chunk of profit just to work on this current project because I know how difficult it is to make a startup successful. It requires not only your hard work, but also your blood, sweat, tears, and your soul. And still, that will not guarantee success, but it will slightly up your chances haha. I noticed that especially these days, there are so many companies and investors wanting to put their excess cash into good use; or any use, almost as badly as a startup like us wants funding. I've been thinking about it and I am trying to figure out how to stand out in their eyes. I know it could be a "just take my money" situation from all of angels and VCs once we land funding from a prominent VC, but that first funding is the hardest in my opinion. Garry, you are such a good influence on my entrepreneurial journey. I learn something new every time I watch your video. I hope to say thank you in person someday.

If a founder has a idea in the ESG or technology space and has a go to market that grabs attention, it will likely be funded. The problem with 'free money' is the mal-investment that happens with low-to-zero hurdle rates. These are the periods of tremendous wealth destruction, as bad ideas get funded and burn through capital. However, the technology firms that survive are able to pick up talent that has entrepreneurial experience for cheap and eventually create the Amazons of tomorrow.

There's a ton of opportunity with traditional forms of insurance, specific to P&C, that would need to be challenged by newer forms of tech. A mix between data science to create more accurate predictive models, large scale/real time aerial mapping to measure properties or even smaller items like cars and boats, and the gig economy that would place the more competitive/quality contractors at the top to bid for jobs that are typically handed to subpar contractors by insurance companies. The possibilities are there...

Where can we get access to cheap capital? What is a realistic interest rate a small business owner can borrow at right now?

if everyone lived on $1000 a month, (aka practically nothing) it would sum up to about $7 Quadrillion for 80 year lifespans. The current World GDP is only $81 Trillion. This means that 1 in 83 people would live an 'ok life' compared to the others. Though, this does make some pretty large assumptions, like Cost-of-Living compared to cost-quality for the same accomodations.

fair enough but here's the kicker dollar can go brrrr only and only because us used power and played super dirty. think about it this way, one gardener says: fellow gardeners, i have a river flowing through so let me supply water to your gardens as a gesture of goodwill, then slowly poisons all the other gardens till his flowers go 10x

that'd be awesome. students need proper exposure to what they will get into by studying something or other when they go into the working world. today's systems suck. Please, share more about this.

Which countries does this apply to? Banks 🏦 collapsed ,merged and were acquired in my country because they didn’t have the minimum required liquidity to remain a bank. However the future is truly limitless.

These "companies" that have so much money should probably pay their employees more, the CEOs don't need 10 yachts while the lowest paid employee is driving a 2005 civic....

Hi Garry, I know you had a problem with SlideBean's Boosted Board video. Can you do a video of why they were incorrect? I was a big fan of the product and company until I saw that video but would love to hear a counterpoint.

Great video. All your content is spot on. What I would like to hear more discussion about is: how do founders outside of tech ecosystem and organizations with deal flow talk to investors with the money? Seems like they are always too busy to take meetings unless you are personally introduced.
