The man Gentetsusai was drinking with was a daimyo, if he was killed that would have been a bigger deal than the gate being broken. Fuchi talking about the bugs was him saying that the shogunate is likely to send more dangerous people after them to complete this mission if he grows too impatient, reinforcing the idea from Kisho in the previous episode that the ninja village could be sent as part of a second wave for the elixir. Gentetsusai and Fuchi are my favorite duo. The rankings of those shown so far are Eizen(1), Shion(4), Senta(5), Genji(8), Fuchi(9), Kisho(11) and Sagiri(12), Aza Toma is not ranked and while he is recognized as one of them for this mission he hasn't officially earned the Yamada name yet until he carries out an execution, which is unlikely now that we know his scheme.
