If you say, Eddie Conway on George Jackson. Well my friend, I'm all in. Fascism is a shape-shifter, changing and adapting, always trying to gain a foothold in the popular consciousness. Eternal vigilance is required.

I am so confused. I looked him up on Wikipedia, all I can see is he a murderer and wrote a book in prison. Is he an activist just because of the words in the book? He smuggled a gun in the prison, and escaped. I am not trying to start stuff, I just trying to learn.

Wikipedia is a garbage source for revolutionaries. He was a revolutionary. He got into a bit of trouble when he was young but US legal system quickly realized he is becoming politically aware. So they put bogus charges on him to keep him in prison forever. He worked a lot in prison organizing and black liberation. I frankly don't think white people can understand what it means to be black in an empire.

@@volvolakaemma9209 Thanks for the info, that's not how wiki talked about it. I was unaware they have a bad rap for revolutionaries, and I believe you. "I frankly don't think white people can understand what it means to be black in an empire." sigh. When I go to any government agency and I look at the employees, I go to the grocery store, when I am driving around, and I talk to people I don't see your empire. I see many people that look different, have lives and are struggling with the same things. I see many people that have success and have everything they want in life. The closest thing to an empire I have seen is the media and government dividing people to use as a tool. Don't be a tool.

@@Steve_Stevens Don't call me a tool. I can't explain everything in youtube comment but don't be a class reductionist. That's how you wipe away people's struggles. We didn't start from the same foundation and black and brown people didn't play any part in building these institutions other than being exploited. So play your part and organize your people and stop saying we are all the same before that. When you are actually in a tangible position to challenge the institutional power, we can talk about we are all the same.

@@volvolakaemma9209 Reductionist? I don't believe in no way or form I am doing that. If you believe you have limitations and have no chance then its on you. You have defeated your self not a skin color. And we are the same, I am sorry you don't feel that way. Do you really feel that white people, common people feel they built "these institutions" ? You are seriously mistaken. See we probably feel the same away but there is a difference on how we say it. I say I am sick of the elite, Ivy league, that have no idea whats going on in the country. You will be quickly color code it even though everyone feels the same. "Organize my people" There are 1000's of people everyday organized trying to make a difference, And there is no particular focus on color either. Lets get real, 90% of the time its not your color that steps in and represents or makes changes. people that don't like something and they just do. If you want a color coded society then lay down with it and be committed like you obviously are. You are free to make good decisions and do whatever you want in life. And there are sooooo many that do not agree with you and didn't buy in to the narrative. I am an activist, for civil rights, keeping government in check, accountability. And if you want to continue the conversation you are welcome to look at my "about tab" there you will see my email, website and so on. You can say whatever you like there. o v e r t n o w . o r g . I do enjoy the discussion by the way.
