one thing worth noting is that the loading bar for the game seems to be a wyrm, so it is possible that could possibly be a depiction of one of the edenkite.

Man I'll tell ya when I first found this book and discovered that kaido was once a person I actually got really interested on how many other monsters were once people

Judging from the description of a Wyrm as you have put it, it holds some similarities with the scrapped World Serpent boss which was found around a year ago. Just a thought.

It's always a good morning when punchee uploads a lore video

I have always had an interest in Deepwoken's Lore, and always reading or hearing about the Old World made it even bigger. I've always wanted to see how the old world looked like or how they lived. I have thought more than once about a dungeon they could make where you somehow travel to the past before the cantyclism and the tides and have to complete a mission or a quest, or just have an objective (kind of like layer 2, but it's in the overworld and in the past). I have considered suggesting it but I don't know if it sounds like a stupid idea or there's more people interested in this. By the way, great video, I wish we could get some day an update where we needed 5 players or so to carry out the Edenkite Ritual.

the Edenkite have very similar ties to japanese dragons, especially their association with infinite knowledge. that said, there are also korean "wyrms" called Immogi, and these creatures can ascend to become dragons if they fulfil whaetver requirements there are. i dont know everything about them, but I do know that theyre basically lesser, ""failed"" dragons. so its possible that the Mad Steward failed their ascension somehow. also, this proves that becoming an Edenkite is technically possible, as long as you can find, kill, and eat the heart a living, Elder one. I want to relate this image of infinite knowledge becoming despair to the Sanity system, especifically the quote given by the Blindfold and the purpose/point of the Blindseer oath. it seems that insanity/infinite knowledge = increase in insanity, and one of the ways with dealing with that insanity is to become blind to it. Blindseer takes this literally. This makes me assume that, given a player had enough sanity (and maybe evn the Blindseer oath, or some other willpower, insanity-resisting oath like Visionshaper (visionshaper's philosophy is that reality is malleable, making it reasonable to assume someone with the Oath can withstand the despair brought by knowledge)), the player could become a proper Edenkite, without turning into a Dread Serpent. i like this theory, and it says a lot about where the "plot" or "lore" of deepwoken is going. it seems like deepwoken has heavy themes about despair, knowledge, and how people cope with the unfairness of the world (ex. some of the Oaths), and that the Drowned Gods and Celestials embody this idea (mostly b/c drowned gods seem very akin to Lovecraftian Horrors, which are typically omniscient- they know everything) also if the Edenkite are supposed to parallel korean Immogi, then they will probably carry some sort of ball of light, that likely sustains their knowledge or life. *this* could be what the Mad Stewart consumed, and i can see it being likened to a heart. dunno.

i think it would be cool if there was an ancient community that used to roam the old northern lumen. They would encounter the eden kite and ask for help. Sharing with one and other both the community and the edenkite grew more intelligent and their vast intelligence is thanks to their ancient collaborations with this old community. A couple edenkite grew fond of the community and some members learned how to ride the beasts. Something like the wormriders from Dune, and they’d be called Kite Masters. The ancient community would then depart with some elder edenkite who chose to go along and would not be seen again, but are waiting to be discovered

my theory for the physical disparity between the Edenkites and the Dread serpent is the combination of Man and Eden through the dread transformation, the result being the vestiges of what used to be mans arm and leg staying in place as a symbol of what they used to be.

I def think this has some correlation to the world serpent, if you compare kaido and the world serpent you can see they both have 4 eyes that are orange and have a blue hide with a white colored underbelly

Imagine if the edenkite and etreans have some kind of relation because they are both snakes and lord regent made a contract with a exiled edenkite for all his power, or like a exiled edenkite is the founder of the minitistry and since they can't survive in worm weather is why the ministry is so cold.

The mad steward probably evolved into a way stronger dread serpent able to rival elder edenkites he might become a boss in the central luminant like a raid boss destroying the land and we gotta end him and a cool feature is we can either eat a few bits of his heart to make our ardour more potent or just straight up devour it

maybe that "world serpent" boss event from a while back was actually an elder edenkite boss test

Would it mayby be possabile that the "World Serpent" is a model of what Edenkite look like, since it does look like a Wyrm and is abnormaly huge so ist makes sense for it to be in the sky instead of at the ground.

The Edenkite, if they even existed, were really against breaking the cycle. Perhaps, the old world turning into the luminants, and then the luminants sinking is a cycle that will never end, it will sink, and it will happen again, creating the layers for the depths, the one and only place that never changes, despite the attempts made(time is locked, even chaser is trapped there forever, killing and getting killed brutally, but it all resets, forcing him to face it again.). Long story short, my theory is that the depths keeps creating a world, and then devours it to make new layers free of shackles, but the drowned gods come and corrupt them, using them as their domains. What if the place we call layer 2 is just a small island in a much much greater world under the seas?

Could the world serpant perhaps be a kaido with all attunements like the steward? it says he was the first dread serpant but dread serpants only use frostdraw, world serpant may be a truly powerful foe to fight.

Theoretically the world serpent has a possibility to be a Elder Edenkite. why? it doesnt live in the northern luminant and we dont know where it DOES live so theoretically i could possibly live there, second its a serpent by the names implication and is HUGE, with no arms or legs ever spotted in the clips we have seen. thats my take
