Luxury cars have always been well known for offering a certain level of opulence over a less expensive mainstream brand. As Honda's luxury division, #Acura has always offered a car based off the Honda Accord platform, however for 2021, the #AcuraTLX gets its own unique platform and an interior that is worthy of the luxury badge on the nose. The Honda Accord's arch rival is the #ToyotaCamry, but what happens when we put the #Camry up against the latest #TLXASpec? About $10,000 separates these two comparably sized sedans.

I've had my heart set on a 2022 TLX Type S for some time, which of course is the superior car, but when my 06 Acura TL died several months ago (blown transmission no surprise) I really had to re-assess my priorities. With two kids in college and shuttling them and their stuff back and forth...the Camry XSE hybrid's combination of reliability, price, MPG, spaciousness and sportiness made the decision a no brainer for me. Yes, I gave up AWD, a beautiful interior/exterior and stellar handling/performance, but I also will be getting 44 MPG and not have to buy premium fuel.

Hey Sofyan! Great content! I've watched a lot of your videos! I have a small request: When a car has a deficiency, can you consider incorporating upgrades that a normal person could consider? It would be extremely helpful. What the upgrade is, estimated installation difficulty, and approximate price is all we would need. I.e. I have a 2015 Subaru Forester and have been upgrading it over time. The main upgrades being speakers, infotainment, leatherette seat covers, led lights in front and rear, and a thicker rear sway bar. I also plan to upgrade the wheels and tires in the near future. I essentially am making it close to a luxury car while keeping the reliability of the vehicle itself.

The difference with my deal on the TLX 2020 with A Spec and Tech package, compared to the XSE Camry was less than $3000. The TLX had all the standard features included, and items you could not get on Camry. Both were the four cylinder models. After three months of driving, still very happy with my choice.

But the Camry is a solid buy for what it is. Styling alone, the TLX is worth it. A more refined front clip, cohesive body lines running front to back, cab-rearward proportions, and a lower & much wider stance. And of course double-wishbone suspension. It's like what the Acura Legend was in its prime. But the Camry is better as a taxi though.

I was looking at getting the 2021 Camry XLE or XSE with AWD since I live in NJ. I mean I'd rather get a Stinger 2.5L with AWD or the TLX A-Spec or Advance with AWD but it woul depend on how much each car leases for. I mean I'm a college student right now & this would be my first car so I'm also considering the Kia Forte GT, the K5 GT-Line with AWD, EX, or GT so I have shortlisted different options at different price points even if the Forte GT & K5 EX & GT are FWD only. I wanted to have ventilated front seats but the GT-Line isn't available with that feature so that's why I'd have to go for the EX or GT with FWD & just have some all-season or winter tires on it. I even like the new Sonata Limited (& I'm waiting for the Sonata N-Line). So there's a lot of options for me to choose from for my first car if I lease a new car
