Elephant in the room.... thats not a whopper. not at all. They just needed to use whopper ingredients with toast. how did they miss that. smh. I understand the hot and cold issue. but a whopper is all about those fresh ingrediants. the tomatoes could handle a bit a warmth, we can omit the lettuse, but a mayo/ketchup mix, less onions to cover your head with. well anyways. just call it "BK Melt". done.

@@ronaldyeater3322 I didn’t take it as crying about onions, he just basically said its got a lot of onions, which is something most people would want to know, as this is a review of the burger. Also, the burger isn’t “based on onions,” and instead onions are simply one of the toppings. Finally, remember the inions on this are already cooked/sweated down, so it will look to be a lot less there then there actually is.

When a burger is based on onions ask for none? When he held open to camera I didn't see much of any onions? My complaint about this burger is the bun? But 2 burgers, 2 slices cheese, 3pcs bread you can't taste any sauce or onions,, even when ask for xtra onions or xtra sauce. They use less and less condiments, and burger is 1oz smaller and cost more! Tell me you saw onions when held to camera? And how little sauce you saw? Get more onions on a basic McDonald's hamburger.

They are two Whopper Jr. patties. I work there, I know. Agree that the title is a bit misleading. The Big King is the same way. If you want double Whopper patties, go for the Bacon King, Stacker King, or your fave, TX Double Whopper.

Burger King's motto "Have it your way" I would ask for the "Cheeze Melt" on a seseme seed bun.

That's why they do these. They make a smaller burger and they increase the price. It should not cost much more than the double cheeseburger, but they are charging for the whopper price.

Hell, the actual Whopper isn't even the original Whopper anymore, and hasn't been for several years.

I had this the other day and was expecting to get a whopper-sized sandwich. Whopper to me meant the bigger patty (except for the junior) so I almost felt like it was false advertising. I felt ripped off that I got a smaller burger than I expected because of the name.

@@joshshultz1250 I see from your comment and question that BK is getting away with it....The difference is that, If you remember, from the beginning to about 12-15 years ago, BK used a long conveyor broiler, and you could watch them broil the patties, and see the huge flames from the front lobby through a big glass window. The patties were put at the beginning and slowly passed along the flames for a few minutes until they reached the end and fell into a catch basin. They were still hot and the juices would just be dripping off as they went directly on the bun. They were just seconds old, and still HOT enough to melt the cheese. BK has since done away with the conveyor broilers in all of their restaurants and went to a mini broiler that's not much bigger than a microwave. From there, the patties go into a holding bin to wait for the next unsuspecting victim to order it. The result is a COLD, hard, and dry patty, that's not even warm enough to melt the cheese. ALSO....BK USED to put not one, but TWO slices of cheese on the Whopper. Those are the actual facts, but what I suspect, and can't prove, is that they aren't using the same beef. The Big fish, used to be called the Whaler until some morons complained about it being called the WHALER. So to appease the morons, BK rebranded it the BK BIG FISH. The only difference was the change of name. It was still HUGE, and went on a Whopper bun. It was still hot and still juicy, and still awesome. Since then, they shrunk it, changed the type of fish used, and, for whatever reason now, they overcook it, and it too is now dry, hard, and is served warm at best. Their fries were also very good. BUT BK also screwed them up by putting a coat of some kind of crap on them, that was supposed to keep them hot. The result, was they were bumpy and...SURPRISE...hard ! At the same time, they went from frying them in animal fat, to a vegetable oil, and the result of that was less flavor. That went over like a lead balloon, so again, they changed them by ditching the coating, but stayed with the vegetable oil. They were healthier, but still less flavor. Like people who are health conscious go to BK or any fast food place in the first place, right ? If I wanted to, I could go on and on about the other items they screwed up. I hope that answered your question about how the Whopper is so different now, and the difference in other items that now suck, even though I didn't mention it before. Now, BK wonders what happened to all their customers...Well, HELLO ! Before, BK used to have THREE registers, and regardless of the time of day, but especially during rush hour, there was always a line, and getting a parking place wasn't easy. Now, they only have ONE register, and you just walk up to it without having to wait in line. So, now BK is puling all kinds of BS gimmicks to try to revitalize the Whopper brand. All they have to do is go back to their original ways, and the parking lots would be full again, and have to put back the two registers they did away with. BUT NOOOOOOOOOO....!

Haven't tried this one, but the sourdough and bacon king were the best sandwiches they've made

My favorite at burger King was the rodeo burger, but I agree they do have pretty good chicken sandwiches

I had a crispy chicken sandwich from the BK in Springfield, IL and it was not only large it tasted good also. ( And, yes I was surprised, but it is true.)

I suspect his expectations are too high. He's giving his opinion on a fast food restaurant not a 5 star restaurant. No one I know would wear a suit to a fast food restaurant.. What's with the annoyingly long clips showing the burger. Could e half the time and still convey message, probably a lot because there wouldn't be long drawn out parts or idiotic stories.

You and I would get along. Caramelized onions, lingonberry juice and sriracha wings are proof that humanity has a chance.

Update: I went to BK and tried this and YES the onions dominate everything, but that's not a bad thing imo. But the bread is way too doughy and soggy. Couldn't hold it without the wrapper because it was so wet. But if you like onions, it doesn't really matter

Sometimes you're walking into a minefield if you order something special. I'm not referring to BK specifically, just anywhere. They may just say alright, we'll burn your toast then, jerk. If I don't want blonde toast, I'd just get a whopper which I believe I'd prefer anyway, since it has some sort of vegetable on it.

I would tell them when ordering that I wanted the bread well done/crispy, and see what I ended up with. And $7.00 seems kinda overpriced.

@@kenmore01 if that happens you go back and show the manager. The toasters they have wouldn't burn the toast after two runs. It helps to have some prior knowledge of the kitchens in these places but it's just common sense. If it seems wrong, it probably is.

I work at burger king and we are actually pretty big on making orders to specified requests. It is. A pain on large orders but generally we are happy to do it

@@kathleennorton6108 Yes, we sang happy birthday for people celebrating their birthday. Since I worked the early afternoon shift that began at noon (right after school) the store was never more than half full which made the whole spectacle kind of sad.

Most people don't know this but we use a special item that we put the buns in and it only toast 1 side and we are only required to toast 1 side you can ask to have both sides if you like

@Lethal Wolf there's still some around here in indiana but let me tell you, they have went way downhill since the thick burger era.. Last time I went after not being there for a couple years I couldn't even finish the sandwich and the fries were horrible. They changed their patties to some rubbery tasteless thing instead of the angus thick burgers. It sucks cause it was my favorite fast food place.
