I used to work for them. The chicken strips were always left out far past their hold time. Taco bell corporate says cook em and whatever is leftover after 45 mins, throw it out. The employees would rather just not cook another batch so they continue to sell them till they're gone

Taco bell needs to fire whoever changed their value menu about 2-3 years ago. I used to go grab a cheesy potato burrito for $1.29 and it was so good. Now I can get bird food like this for twice the price. This might be the most a fast food joint has ever fallen off in such a short window.

they discontinued them because people were starting to cheat the system and get free snack wraps with the maps system they mcdonald’s made (you would walk around irl and find wraps on ur map in ur phone)

I spent a total of almost $13 for 3 supreme Doritos locos tacos and a drink. Abysmal price to value ratio. Maybe it would've been okay if they had at the very least made the taco shells a bit wider and added more meat. But we all know how shafted we get when it comes to setting an item at a particular price tag during inflation.

Honestly the vegetarian options are the best choice. I guess it’s hard to screw up beans and rice. That $2.50 fiesta veggie burrito is the best thing on their menu.

If i go which is rare, I get the dealbox they have for 5 bux.. Its statically placed under the value menu. If you dont look for it, you wont see it. You get a chulumpa, a 4 layer burrito, cinnamon twists ( that I substitute for nachos), and a drink. All for 5 bux. Its the best deal by far.

Well check this out,I went to taco bell,asked if I wanted any sauce,I said yes,I had to be specific on number of sauces I wanted lol right,I used to say a handful which means to me like 5 or 6 till your palm fills up, anyway I asked why? Said people using to much,more like employees giving sack fulls,but I can't believe so petty over sauces that cost nothing really? True story if your in Sand springs, Oklahoma feel free to go there,happy eating every one,get your sauces no matter what lol

I just had this yesterday, actually got both flavors, and I thought they were really good. I have a better than average Taco Bell though. The chicken was crispy and tender actually. I also got it fresh and not delivered. My only real complaint about it is that it's a little too expensive and too small.

it's a hit or miss. I've had some taste great and others taste horrible. depends on how fresh it was fried and the cut of the chicken. very inconsistent but when it's good, it's good

Taco Bell really has just given up on their food having any aesthetic appeal at all. It's always a tortilla with all the ingredients haphazardly mashed into it, usually sour cream and lettuce sticking out the top. It's like a hatefully, hastily made unhappy meal.

I wonder if you could sub out the crispy chicken for sometime else? I wonder if the chicken was cooked to the right doneness in fresh, hot oil if it would be good. Would the employees be OK with asking them to watch the chicken to make sure that it's cooked right?

The chicken on mine was all breading. I looked inside and there were two little strings of chicken stuck in the middle of all this batter or whatever it is. Terribly hard to chew if you have bad teeth.

Yeah, better on the dollar menu. Better deal since you would get 5 tacos instead of 3 anyway. They had the potato taco on there, and it was good. They still have the dollar menu, though?

If I’m not mistaken , I believe the difference with the chicken sandwich taco was that it was wrapped in flat bread. So not this exact item rebranded I guess.

The crispy chicken might have to do with what time you ordered yours. They probably cook them for the main lunch & supper rush. Other ones would sit under the heat lamp. Did you order at 3PM or 9PM? Or during a main eating time frame?

It's the people working there. I stopped into a Taco Bell yesterday for the first time in 15 years. I was the only one in there and the employees just ignored me at first. Then I had to ask them to turn their signs around so I could see the breakfast menu. They still had the dinner menu up and this was at 9AM, still 2 hours of breakfast menu..... Then I had to tell them how much change I should get back after she couldn't figure it out herself. Then I had to point out the no fire sauce, they had 2 bins of hot sauce on accident. Then the one employee went outside to do what I don't know for 10 minutes, all the while both were more concerned about the wifi and their phones. The 2 breakfast burritos I got were fresh and hot so that was the only saving grace........
