3 Electric swapped Retros worth looking out for on youtube - SuperFastMatt's Jaguar Mk4 (Tesla swapped, but he used to work for Tesla, so I think he's exempted!), Jonny Smith's Flux Capacitor (DC motors, before Tesla swapping was a thing), and South West EV UK's RX8 (Leaf swapped at home)

Oh and a Subaru XT would rock an electric conversion.. (possibly an SVX too?)

Oooh both of those are excellent choices. The XT really would suit it in a kind of 80's retro-futurist way, and the SVX definitely would work too, wonder if you can find someone about to do a flat 6 conversion on a camper or something and go halves on an SVX :)

My neighbour has a Lotus Europa that he converted with the aforementioned Nissan Leaf engine, he also has it down to about 700kg all in. In the same garage he has an Elan that had an engine/gearbox issue and so he swapped the leaf engine into it in a plug and play format - which I’m massively oversimplifying but he’s a genius and I’m not.

please don't quote battery capacity in kW. its like quoting car economy or top speed in miles, or engine size in centimetres. kWh!

So people can't afford to heat their homes or pay for electric bills and we are subsidising rich people to have electric cars and I doubt councils could afford to charge their electric vehicles for free without charging so much for council tax. Like driving get an electric car and soon you won't be able to drive as your inputs will be overridden by big brother.
