It's that thing where doing something feels more rewarding than doing nothing - so many mods exist purely because there's a part you can order online and bolt on on a sunday afternoon. Chequerplate scuff panels on a Landrover being a specifc pet peev of mine. Landys-like Mini's-are definitely one thing so many people feel 'more is more' with and they all look so silly with their grilles on top of grilles, widebody mudguards, LED lights and MOD Spec bonnets. Of course, the best Landys are stripped back with no plastic bits, with Series 3 slide windows, unadorned V8 grille, hose-out interior and steelies. And an LS swap. :) (other Landy opinions are avaiable - this is just mine - well mine and CoolNVintage in Spain ;) )

That is a good point, something we only sort of touched on. The length of ownership. The initial urge to modify doesn't really go away, so you keep fiddling and doing bits here and there. For some people this works for sure as they reach towards an end goal. For the rest of us it can take what was a more pure or more 'done' car and gradually erode it. I guess the alternative is to sell up and start a new project and that is often less desirable financially hahah

SuperfastMatt has a youtube channel, and it's brilliant. As well as the Tesla swapped Jag, he has a motorcycle engined Honda S600 (which he blew the engine on, so is now in the process of sorting). I think Simon was trying to get uninvited from the Show and Tell! :)
