When his daughter's life is endangered by a local gang, Joseph Kuruvilla will do whatever it takes to stop them. However, at the same time, his dangerous past slowly resurfaces.

I mean in the film, it is clearly shown that this was Mithra's dream from the start.. Some women are content with just a family life and there is nothing wrong with that. I get ur point but her character was designed like this and it wasn't like this dream came from nowhere and she suddenly got oppressed.

But showing majorly these kind of characters in mainstream movies and hundreds of thousands of movie goers exposed to only these type of female lead is a bit repressing IMO. These movies begin and end with the man. Off the top of my head: mannan, yaaradi nee mohini.. p.s. While I complain about this movie, I should to mention some movie which has given an occupation to female leads and actually continued through it (I am not talking about female-centric movie): Alaipayuthey, Raja Rani, Ko, Engeyum Eppodhum, Vinnai thaandi varuvaya, khaaka khaaka

The way women is portrayed in movies has nothing to do with real women. 99% of movies are directed by male director. Their fantasy and expectations of how a female should be is what a women act and show in movie. It includes a white fatty skin body, agree for everything hero say, satify sex, do all the house chores and be like a buffon the whole life. To make into short its what you see around in 99% house wifes do. Force to give up job after marriage, a kid production machine, sex satisfaction for male, 24x7 cooking cum toiket cleaning and all house chores servant. In one word a women in this society is a slave. She is tied in all walks of life. The society is programmed by males how a women should behave. Girls itself are raised as someone else house servant. So what can you expect from such society. Throw away divorce on such nonsense male dominated men who utilise women. Atleast some recent movies like #thegreatindiankitchen are showing the real truth of a womens life.
