Am already approved to drive with Uber but i want to know how to go about renting a car from Uber pertinent ship.

The rental rate THROUGH Uber via w/o Uber is DRASTICALLY different ($477 vs $1,200 through Hertz for a Tesla Model 3 and all the insurance for me). I imagine them, that Uber might be covering part of that discount, and that might then be the reason they need you to work as much as possible. Hence, their 30 rides a week minimum.

I just rented a car with Avis and they absolutely did not charge me a security deposit.

Maybe it depends on the metro area you are & what's on your credit report that determines if they charge a security deposit, or not. And, if they do charge, what do they charge for security deposit?

You are not calculating what it would cost to drive a like new car 4 to 500 a month or about 100 a week. Also subtract the cost of oil changes and maintenance. Plus not having to answer to a "boss" and working when you want. I will NEVER work another 9 to 5 job again. Talk about slave wages.

Sure the profit may be low initially but Thats normal until you purchase your own vehicle then the numbers can be alot better

Gas is as cheap as 3.99 in some parts of New Jersey. That’s the cheapest I have seen it. Seen 4.07 as well average is 4.25 and as high as 4.55.

Idk about Avis, yet, but Hertz puts the charge at the beginning of the week as a PENDING charge. That reduces my "available funds", but keep in mind that they can alter pending charges amount any day they see fit. Hell, they changed posted charges whenever they want, too. Idk how they get away with it but they did. Screwed my royally in the end, and I'll never rent with them again. When I went below zero available funds during the first week, they removed the initial pending charge, then started prorated daily pending charges until I had enough to cover the whole charge. Once I had enough to cover the whole charge. Hertz then removed all of the daily pending charges, and put the whole week's pending charge back on. After the first week is done, the initial pending charg gets finalized, and a new pending charge wants to show up. So, if I didn't have enough to cover the initial charge AND the next week's pending charge, I'm back in the same mess as the first week. Ergo, always keep your "available balance" high enough to cover the next week's rent, or you'll see them do all kinds of wonky shit with your bank account.

As for the pay. I would receive all of my earnings just fine. It's just that you need to make sure that you keep your minimum "AVAILABLE BALANCE" above the weekly rental amount.

Omg…. I just realized this last week. When you call in they want you to send in proof. (Muddasucka, you know exactly how much I paid for those toll). You send it in and unless you stay on them, you will NEVER get reimbursed. They will give you the run around FOREVER!!

EITHER GO TO THE HUB AND ASK FOR A FORM TO TAKE THEIR PREFERRED MECHANICS CAUSE IF YOU GO WITHOUT IT THE MECHANIC HAS TO WAIT FOR AUTHORIZATION THAT MAY NEVER GET APPROVAL AND YOU JUST SAT THERE FOR HOURS!!! THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME 3 TIMES!!!!

Sorry to hear that is happening. First off, are you able to do UberX in RI and have you driven UberX in Boston before this? There could be a stipulation that could make it only possible to drive in your current market and not in other markets when it comes to renting a car. This is also could be that Uber doesn't always allow you to drive in other markets from your home market. Hopefully that helps and hopefully able to get going on the app in Boston. Keep us updated.

@@Therideshareguy yes when I rented the vehicle through Uber the fastest and closest location was a city about 40 minutes away from me which is Providence Rhode Island and I live in Massachusetts I don't understand why they would give you the options to rent out of your city if you can only do it within the city you rent the vehicle from Boston and Providence Rhode Island are very close to each other about 50 minutes away and I live about 50 minutes from each of them you would think within such close quarters I would be able to work in either one I appreciate your fast response thank you

People have to see that there is different vehicle categories. Some you can do uberx, some uber eats, some both, and so on.

Lol it's not predatory. Your only charged 260-310 depending on which car you want for 1 WEEK. If your doing Uber full time it's a great deal.

@@LatinsplainingTV No. Once you pay the fee you have unlimited miles. But I think the only place that has a mileage cap is Avis and after you reach the limit they charge you but in order to go over the limit you literally would have to travel 7 hours to a different state. Also they all do deposits at 200 and you have to pay the uber fee both UPFRONT. That's what they don't tell you but Avis you don't have to pay a deposit.
