When I introduced Therion to a collegue, he immediately asked "does it always sound like that?". I guess the singing style just isn't for everyone. But I guess it's like that for most other metal subgenres xD People just prefer, or are used to the "normal" poppy style of singing :p

Hay una muy buena anécdota de los '90, de cuando Therion se presentó por primera vez en Chile. Y no fue en Santiago. Fue nada menos que en Valparaíso en un ya extinto bar de mala muerte, pero de movida under llamado justamente "El Sucucho". Lo triste de esa jornada no fue el lugar en sí, sino que los true de la época solo concedían valor al death extremo, el grindcore, thrash y crossover. Y como la banda (no conocida como ahora en ese entonces) era más melódica, los asistentes dejaron casi vacío el lugar, prácticamente dejando que la banda tocara sola. Y los cuatro pelagatos que quedaron dentro además no prestaban mucha atención y más se concentraban en beber. Con ese nivel de desinterés y casi agravio era como para que no quisieran nunca más pisar suelo chileno. Pero al parecer se lo tomaron más como una anécdota y siguieron volviendo 🙂. Se especula que con el tiempo hasta se lo tomaron con humor y recuerdan el percance haciendo una alusión a ese episodio en este video clip filmado justamente en un bar de mala muerte de similares características al original porteño, pero de Santiago 😁

I just love this album, I think it's a great move they did. Therion can change styles without losing their essence. They did it again. Awesome music as always, and I totally love Lori's voice! And although the others didn't sing here, I love Thomas and Linnéa's voices too. They have a great line-up and I am eager to see them back in Brazil with their flowers of evil!

Martina wasn't a band member,was a quest in Vovin and sung in one song in the next album and was a traveling member in Vovin tour like Sarah. Almost all the studios albums singers and traveling singers weren't members of the band. Only Lori Lewis is member from 2011 and Thomas Vickstrom from 2009 . The Theli and the secret of the runes has not singers only chorus and professionals from classic scene.

Conforme ha ido creciendo el público que sigue esta genial banda, también lo han hecho, lógicamente, los atrapados que se quejan en cada cambio en su formación y en los estilos de cada álbum. En lo personal tomo cada disco como un concepto único y los disfruto todos. Tengo el honor de haberlos visto dos veces en vivo con alineaciones totalmente distintas y fueron épicas ambas presentaciones. En la última, presumo, pude incluso tomarme fotos con casi todos los miembros de la banda. Es música atemporal que hay que gozar, en cuanto sepa que regresan a México haré hasta lo imposible por estar ahí.

Esto si es un buen tema, alla aquellos que no sepan reconocer esta musica que no sale de su musica tradicional, de bandas como ac/dc ,metallica, iron maiden, etc etc etc.... lori lewissss.... therion es una banda muy buena que viene sacando discos desde hace mucho 1991 ademas utilizan orquesta cosa q hace a therion mas grande en la musica etc etc. y al q no le guste ps para que la oyesss... si son buenos y verdaderos metaleros ya deberian saber eso... !m! !m!

Muy de a cuerdo...Therion no es solo banda para mover la caveza y el pie...tiene contenido profundo en sus letras, para los entendedores que ven su música de una manera mas mistica, no es solo música vacia como otras bandas. Te tiende a intenar desifrar lo que dicen, de que se trata para luego ver que su contenido es inmenso y verdadero, te atrapa con su música para comunicar un gran mensaje =)

Es cierto que dejaron atras algunos aspectos del metal, y de lo que nos tenían acostumbrados, pero es de agradecer que busquen siempre algo diferente, eso habla de la gran cultura musical y de variedad de temas, ideologías y aspectos que nos puede mostrar la banda, en realidad es una belleza de disco donde interpretan versiones de hermosas canciones de francia, con la maravillosa voz de lori, no hay que cegarse con el pasado, hay que apoyar la diversidad y la trayectoria de therion que hasta el momento no nos decepciona, esperando que recluten nuevos talentos que remplacen a los grandes que se han retirado.

Remember that the song is over fifty years old, I am sure that music was just enjoyed for it's own sake, if it pleased you, that was all you needed to know. The song is not at all pretentious , but there will always be an element of the "Emperor's New Clothes" around any entertainment medium

Therion's version uses opera vocals here, so to someone who doesn't know what the original sounded like it could seem like just another pompous French song

Los fans de Therion que no entienden la canción y el videoclip son los que no aprecian este álbum. Es toda una crítica a la decadencia social e ideolígica de mucho metalero actual. La letra y el videoclip hablan de ello... Quizá es el mejor álbum de Therion por eso mismo.

En realidad la canción va sobre las cantantes demasiado jóvenes (menos de 20) a las que (los productores) les hacen cantar sobre el amor y la vida. Hay que tener en cuenta que la canción es de los 60 y la letra es de alguien con mucha mala leche.

ademas de escuchar la canción y ver el video... loabrí para ver cuantos "fans" de Therion vienen a criticar sobre su estilo y bla bla bla... no se como es que, supuesta mente siendo fans, no aceptan cambios... el Les Flours du Mal es un álbum de Covers de canciones pop de los años 60's de Francia... no han bajado de nivel, solo que como Cristopher, cambian... acéptenlo y si no les gusta, quedense enterrados en el pasado :v
