Also some of the people who were in jallianwala Bagh weren't even protesters. They had come with their families to the baisakhi gathering. (Baisakhi is the harvest festival in the Punjab region)

@@theoonyoutube thanks I didn't know that. I did know many Indian soldiers helped throughout Africa and the Middle East but if honest and very controversial so I apologise in advance I believe there was no difference between a person in the UK, Canada or India during the days of empire, we were all British, for me English first and then British and for Indians the same but of course Indian first. Going on a tangent that is why I feel it is important for us the UK to better support the people of Hong Kong whom we far more recently through to the wolves of China!

On March 13 1940, Udham Singh- a Sikh Punjabi freedom fighter- shot General Michael O'Dyer at a joint meeting of the East India Association and the Central Asian Society at Caxton Hall, London. Udham Singh did not flee from the spot and was arrested for the killing. During his trial, Udham Singh said he had waited 21 years to kill General Michael O'Dyer as the British official “wanted to crush the spirit of my people, so I crushed him.”
