What do you think... G43 or P365? Which would you choose and why?

I wanted to like the 365, but the ergonomics of the G43 are so much better for me. Shot capacity is low on the list, because the probability of actually using your weapon is low, and the need to use more than six rounds is even lower.

My mag falls out fine. People are getting to nitpicky. It’s a carry gun. Sights, capacity, rails don’t matter. These guns are meant to be concealable and shot within a couple yards. They’re not battle guns.

Have both. Alternate between the two as my back up gun when I’m on patrol. Sig feels better. But the Glock is the better gun. It simply performs more reliably, more often than the sig does.

To be honest, I switch the two out often. The early 365s had problems that Glock never seems to have. I like Sig, but every time I buy one of their new guns I fell like I am a beta tester for it.

I agree with quite a few of your points. Especially the grip angle. I have been carrying the 43 for a few years and switched to the 365 basicly for the capacity. The 365 just is faster getting the sights on target. However I don't have issues with the larger glocks handle angles. It's just the 43 that it bothers me. I picked up the 365 and instantly was like yup this is for me.

Both great little guns but I carry the glock 43 with taran tactical +1 baseplates that don't add to size. I chose mainly on the fact I'm more familiar with glock. I trust it.

you can get a +2 baseplate for the p365 that also doesn't add to its size. 12+1 literally in your pocket.

Between the two I pick the 45 long slide with lay zuh sighting or better yet the phased plasma rifle in duh 40 watt range

I carried the G43 for almost 3 years daily but switched to the p365 and never looked back primarily because of grip and mag capacity

I own the p365 and the p365 XL--my favorite is the hybrid p365 XL RECEIVER with P365 slide---a PERFECT gun for me!

I love the P365. Funny how whenever the question comes up of P365 vs G43, it always ends up being an argument between people about which company is better and not the guns themselves. I own a Sig and a Glock and both have been awesome at the range with no reliability issues, so I would trust both in terms of reliability. Standard P365 for EDC and G29 for carrying during hiking/fishing trips in the woods.

Have you had any issues with the slide not locking back on the last round with the p365?

Nope. Typically I see that behavior with light loads in ammo. But that would be with any gun not just the P365.

yup. make sure your not dragging your thumb on the slide to slow it down.

365x or 43x with shield mags.

1) Glock reliability. Nobody wants to use their G43 for real, but if that day ever comes, the Glock will work. 2) The G43 feels great in my hand with a Hogue grip and a Pearce +1 mag extension. New sights help too.

I have both, I like both however, I only carry one at a time and it comes down to capacity....... Glock messed up with the low cap of their micro line, big time. I will always go with the Sig just for that. Now with the magguts +2 for the G43 makes it a closer contender except its still 2 less rounds than the Sig and larger to carry. Glock you missed the boat in the micro 9 market.

Mag release? There is no way I can get to the Sig P365 without entirely releasing my grip. The Glock I can. I'm still figuring out which to carry solely.

One thing I like about the 43 over the 365, is that I typically carry and shoot different Glocks. And, from the G 20 down to the 43, of all of them that I own, that commonality of the trigger feel, the overall "fluffy" feel, etc., the same Manual of Arms, make it difficult choice to switch to something else. I can work on them easily, I have spare parts for all of them, and they all shoot the same for me from the biggest to the smallest. Of course, there are slight differences - recoil, some of the grips are a little bigger than others because of backstraps, or like the bulb on the 43, and some of mine are GEN3, Gen4, and Gen5 (so some of have grooves and some don't). But overall, when I pick up at Glock, no matter what caliber it is, I'm going to shoot it about the same. That has proven to be fantastic for me.

I like your approach and totally understand staying with the 43 if you are already a Glock shooter. I must admit, that is one thing about Glocks that I LOVE, When you shoot one, you know how the rest of them shoot. Thanks for watching!

I won't argue the capacity issue though. That's one issue I struggle with. Then I also like my G26 quite a bit to help complicate things for me. Lol

I agree on the grip much better than Glock and I am so sick and tired of hearing about the reliability of a Glock I'm sure there have been issues no gun is perfect the bottom line the best gun is the one you shoot with I carry the P365 flush mag you don't need your pinky on the gun a pinky is only used for picking up things it may feel better at first but with my pinky out of the way I get a better grip with my support hand try it out sometime.

In Glock's defense... once you shoot one Glock, you can shoot them all (that can work for or against Glock). So to a Glock shooter, I would say go with a 43 if you like Glocks. I do prefer my P365 though, but again I got away from Glock because of their ergonomics (or lack of them). Thanks for watching and dropping a comment.

Some people have had problems with Sigs... With the exception of my P320, I have waited a year or two before picking up a new Sig so they can work the bugs out. I am not a big fan of their agile mind set when it comes to product development.

Sig P365 a good Gun but just to expensive parts are hard to get magazines are overpriced they start at $40 and go up for this gun just ridiculous Glock you could get any place and they sell them less than half the price on the internet or 7:00 factory they will answer your phone calls or emails I heard say is everybody a hard time so it's up to you 🇦🇹💯👍

Sig p365 overpriced a 10 shot magazine goes for over $50 insane plus service takes weeks to get your gun back and they're very expensive parts and the gun itself Glock as much better easy to fix parts you could get anywhere less than half the price I would just stay with the best that's why police carry Glock 🇱🇻💯👍

I can understand why Sig would charge so much for the p365 mag because of all the R&D that went into it. I mean the gun was designed AROUND the magazine. But as for their other mags, they still charge around that same $50 price tag which I don’t agree with.

With a glock you know you'll get a bland gun that will run thousands and thousands and thousands of rounds...... With sig you get cutting edge guns that may fail at round 100 or round 3,500....or at any time in between. It's a literal toss up. Their qc is unimaginably bad but they are cutting edge. Every single recent sig gun has had serious problems. But you get 4 or 5 more rounds over a single stack. Everything is a trade off.

@@runningbear6391 you know there are individuals, orginazations and militaries that test all of these things. You can go and pay a little bit of money to get the results if you don't want to do the testing yourself. There is a reason I say glocks are rock stars And not m&ps for example (because they broke down during testing). There is a reason I'm not a bif fan of the P365 but do love their mcx rifles... But don't care for their p320 series of guns. I look at the data and my expirence and come to a conclusion. You can do the same. Don't get butthurt.

@@runningbear6391 your "experience" loses credibility for me as soon as you complained about the grip angle and stippling. You either like glock grip angle or you don't. Nothing wrong with that either way. Some of us prefer it. Saying the shield is better than the Glock is a stretch and 3/4, I have owned multiples of both, and honestly, I have sold almost all of my shields. They do have some good features, like full frame rails and so forth, but the argument about the sights doesn't mean anything to me - the Shield and the Glock both have crap sites and both get replaced almost immediately. Your butthurt because somebody is saying that they like Glocks over other brands, and while your preferences are absolutely fine (because we all have our opinions), you aren't bringing anything to the table of any use.
