Yep, bang on, its the style line of the trunk lid. Used to fit hundreds of almera badges to tail gates at work using a 'level jig' and they looked out due to the curve of tail gate.

Got an ST myself. Finding these videos really helpful. I've already had to change the springs on mine, two of the buggers snapped. I thought if I'm going to change them I might as well lower it a tad. I opted for the Eibach lowering springs. It's definitely lowered it but at the same time not slammed her. Had to have four new Tyres and have all the alloys cleaned and brushed on the inner lip. Apparently they were hanging on for dear life! I've had a new drive belt fitted; it was squealing like a goodun. Tentioner and pulleys seemed OK. Middle engine mount was banging like a beast. Just needed tightening. Bush's seemed OK. I've had a wheel bearing changed and I reckon another one has started talking to me. I'm gonna change the fuel and air filter and gonna get the oil changed. I don't trust the previous folk who said they gave her a full service. The heater on the drivers side seat isn't working (dodgy ford wiring), need to look at that. A bulb has blown on my dash display, which irks me. Just ordered some new tailgate gas struts; bloody thing keeps falling on me big sweed. My wing mirrors are lazy, need some lube. Gonna change my gear stick leather gaiter, she's ripped. Quite like the one you fitted. Overall she's in great condition. She's done 93000 on an 07 plate. Full service history. Once I get these bit n bobs sorted might go for a Remap. Might upgrade the front brakes as they aren't too clever. Keep the videos coming!

Mate to avoid any future headaches replace the pollen filter and the plastic part you remove covering it , silicone it too the window as it is a common fault that lets water into the passenger side footwell
@mwmm
@mwmm 5 жыл бұрын
Yes, had that on my ST and my god did it take days of effort and retrying to finally seal it, eventually just stuffed it full with silicone (could smell it for weeks) - sadly sold the car due to rapidly accelerating rust and white smoke on startup even after £3k fuel system rebuild

The reason why I subbed to your channel sir is because your restoration on the mk3 Mondeo. Not many tubers these days really get into everyday cars like the mondy. I myself have a mk3 mondeo estate. It was a great wagon until its powertrain gave up the ghost. Looking to restore it in the future probably swapping in a Caldina 3sgte powertrain into it, since ford parts are hard to come by where I am. In the meantime, I am going to enjoy the videos you put up and upcoming attention to your mondeo. Cheers!

Coming along nicely! Most people put the pre facelift window surrounds on if they’re doing a chrome delete, looks like you got lucky there! Don’t know if it’s the same on diesels (I’ve got a 220) but the bits of trim that are covered in carbon fibre around the gear gaiter and clock are generally silver, matches in nice with the rest of the door cards etc, same for the steering wheel bits between the centre and the rim. Looking forward to seeing more of this 👍

@ the savage garage...Mate when you order the parts for it definitely get the decent bosch fuel filter or Delphi one only! Also upon changing it fill it up with a syringe with fresh clean diesel or redex diesel treatment otherwise it's a nightmare to start or gets an air lock! In my opinion also get the castrol magnatec fully synthetic 5/30 ford version. I have tried many others and the magnatec seems to keep the clattery diesel sound a bit quieter and I think the cars runs smoother. A bit more expensive but worth it in my opinion. I think it improves the mpg slightly too!

Loving the channel & great car, I've got an 06 plate. X2 for getting a decent diesel filter, Bosch or Delphi, the ST tdci is very fussy about them. Fill with diesel using a syringe or small funnel as engine doesn't prime it, if you just keep cranking the fuel through on starter you could damage the fuel pump which are crazy money and quite fragile on these. Keep up the good work.

Hello. Mondeo owner from Norway here. Your LSD screens should also light up. Those are T5 1.2w ones, one for each lsd display. They untwist like the T10 ones, but lower down on the backside. The electric contact can be released by pulling a little handle. Just make sure the LSD don't lay down as that can damage them. Cheers!

15:43 Originals are probably 501 Halogen bulbs. These LED were probably fitted by the previous owner. The common problem with LED is: Although they were supposed to last longer, but only at their specified 12v environment. A running car is usually running at 14 to 14.6 volts, the extra 2-2.6v kills the 12v LED. (I had these 12v 501 LED in my old headlights. Tried lots of different ones. Shortest one lasted 3 days. Longest one lasted a month. Eventually I just changed then entire headlight assembly to Angel Eye with HID headlight.)
