One more information, In Gujarat this Uttarayan is celebrated as Kite festival and it is called as Sankranti also. In Bihar and Uttar Pradesh this Dashnayan is celebrated as Chat Puja. We Indians are celebrating the celestial move. Thanks to our ancestors.

Our Indian rishis were very intelectually advanced humans..they wrote vedas for the knowledgeable who can understand them and the puranas for the common layman population in the form of stories to make them understand the same concepts..but sadly the layman never understood...he took the literal meaning of those stories very seriously than the message which it wanted to convey.. Thus the whole purpose of creating puranas never met its purpose..rather it created many superstitions, fear, etc..better if they had imparted the knowledge of vedas also directly to the common man..we would have produced many more intellectual brains in our country..

Amazing to see the full Universe which was knows 1000's year before even wester world knew. - The Vedas, the Puranas and the Upanishads are ancient sacred Sanskrit texts with narratives about the intricacies of the Hindu universe, kings and deities, sages, life and death, karma, meditation and yogic practices.

I generally like and enjoy the host conversations but not this time. Certain times the host breaking the conversation for example when he was continuing about sunflares twice the host interrupted him and inspite of him saying he wanted to finish that topic and if it was diverted to a topic on the yama and yami the host should have brought him back to continue on the topic of sunflares.

Great interview Prof Vedam 🙏 But I found the host to be intellectually out of depth with the content discussed. Hence his questions don't extend the conversation, as a better interviewer should. Rather they detract to the mundane, e.g. where to read this, where to find that etc. He should have read/prepared better.
