I choose my new wedges... even though I didn't really want to put them in my bag! I test and review the Titleist Vokey SM9, TaylorMade Milled Grind Hi-Toe 3, Cleveland RTX6 Zipcore and PXG 0311 Gen 6 Sugar Daddy II... to decide which are the best wedges in the world...

To be honest you really shouldn't have fitted clubs in a shootout like this...

Theyre called Sugar Daddy wedges because you need to be one in order to afford one

I've tried more wedges than I should admit and honestly the 2 in my bag are a non-name brand and a TaylorMade hi-toe. Hell, even the super lob wedges I have aren't name brand either. Long story short, find your swing and try every wedge you can

I have to say that I fully agree with your findings here Pete. But the only thing I would say in difference is that I found the Cleveland wedges easier to control then the vokeys due to the weighting of the vokeys being heavier and in delicate shots they were a bit harder to control. So I have been playing the Cleveland wedges and I have since shaved off more strokes.

Pete. Best wedges in the world are the old Ping Eye 2, bend them the way you want. Grandfathered in for square grooves. Get em for $40/per. You're welcome

Vokeys are great wedges if you want a different wedge for every type of turf or sand conditions. If you want one set of wedges for all conditions to be the most versatile club in your bag then its Cleveland all day son!! 60 degree high bounce 12 or mid bounce 10, 56 or 54 degree mid bounce 10, and 52 or 50 degree low bounce 8 in the Cleveland rtx 6 is going to be the best wedge setup 90% of golfers will ever have from 25 handicap down to scratch. I mean just look at Rory he went to a high bounce 60 degree for his first time ever and hes killin it

Went with the ping glide 4.0, couldn’t beat them with anything else. But let’s be honest, basically everything is really good right now. Everything should be played dependent. Have fun.

I got recently 3 new RTX Zipcore wedges in 50, 54 and 60 degrees in a very good fitting session. They were the clubs that offered me most benefits. I really enjoy them.

Having nine generations of Vokey speaks volumes for the design and build quality and consistency; with all the professionals continuing to use them, that's a living testament. That said, my personal preference remains with the Cleveland legacy wedges. I keep coming back to my 588 Gunmetals, superb feel and touch with still plenty of bite and spin after two+ decades in and out of my bag. They have also retained their black finish even after many, many rounds and practice, unlike the newer line iterations from Cleveland.

Over past 10 years i've had SM6's, SM7's, then SM8's last year and sold them and custom ordered TM MG3 wedges, 52 deg and a 56 TW grind. The TW grind has a shaved off heel and a beveled off leading edge for pitches and chips off of tight lies. Works great. These will wear out in about 3 years and then i'll move into SM10's !

I love my sm9 wedges by far the best wedges I've ever used. I just replaced my Wilson staff hi toe wedges with them and they are streets ahead of the Wilsons in every category. Better feel, sound, spin, control and distance control.

I play TM wedges. Hi toe copper raw insert gap, blacked out MG3 sand, and a RAC3 lob. I like the rainbow set up, and it works.

Vokey wedges are the best ... completely agree on the control with approaches ... I've found a few other things more promising around the green at times (such as some TM milled grinds) but cannot beat a Vokey in overall performance (IMO)

Enjoying my sugar Daddys PXG. Played the Vokey previously and the Sugar Daddys are definitely a more consistent club for me.

I went from the zipcore to Hi-3 and I absolutely love em. I feel like I can do anything around the green, whatever the stance, grip, face you name it and I only do 3/4 shots with my 56 and 60 anyways. I would love to try SM sometime, only problem I have are all the different grinds. According to the selector I should have a 50-8F, 56-10S and 60-8M
