Thanks again for the fun. You do know that you don't have to measure out 12 teaspoons of anything? 3 tsp = 1 Tbsp. 12 tsp = 4 Tblsp. 4 Tblsp = 1/4 Cup. You can just measure out 1/4 cup. Faster. Also, less chance to forget where you are with the measurements! AACK!

Chelsea, the reason they are unsubscribing your followers is because those of us who know how to grow our own food, or in your case, teaching others to do the same, is because they want all people's to think that the only food they need comes from the grocery store, and in a lot of cases, that food is toxic. Have you heard America's new thing? Home grown food leaves too much of a CO2 imprint, where as their food grown in factories, do not. Excuse my horrible french, but B.S.

As much as that may be true, that is not the reason why youtube is unsubscribing members. They have been doing it for as long as youtube has been in existence. It has everything to do with the algorithm. and nothing to do with thw theory and views of homesteading.

Anxious to hear if the other chicks make it. I've hatched chicks for many, many years, regular chicks, quail, turkeys, pheasants and guinea too. Think that's all. 😉 One year a friend noticed a guinea hen sitting on a clutch of eggs, and then the hen went missing. By the time she realized she was not around the eggs were very cold and not sure how long they had been left. She brought them to me to see if I could save them. I put them in the incubator and most of them did indeed hatch. She was so excited that they made it but didn't really want the keets, so they stayed here on Little Acre Farm. Hope yours make it too. 😊

Your starts look good. I started using the label hack last year but found some of them don't hold the marker well....I start the season with things labeled though...lol. I did try starting squash last year indoors but found the ones I seeded direct surpassed the transplant. I could see how the paper pots would work good for that though. So with the cucumbers, why could you not put 4 seeds in each pot and then transplant as you do the squash - it would be a mound planting of cukes. Take up less space in green house and less disturbance. As for the dahlia's - word of caution in that starting in pots can cause problems in that if they don't get enough light they will go very spindly and not be nice and upright You should be okay I'd think - I started mine in my living room so was not perfect light and so mine were very leggy all summer. You will need to dig and store the tuber come fall. I grow quite a number of them. Thinking of planting them out a bit earlier this year and put them in the garden in mid may. Good video.

@LittleMountainRanch Ай бұрын
What kind of marker are you using? I've used both waxed and Sharpie, and both held up great! I'm planning on putting the dalias outside during the day and storing them in the root cellar over the winter - that is, if I remember to do that! lol

@@LittleMountainRanch Just a sharpie. But It may be that they were too old too. Or a combination of both. I am marking this way this year so I'll see how things hold up. Do you watch Arms Family Homestead? They live in Sulphur Oklahoma. They live outside the town and their land was not hit by a tornado. Arms Family has 8ish mini donkeys and had just had 2 baby donkeys in the last 2 weeks. When the tornadoes came through it brought a LOT of rain and the creek near the Arms Family farm overflowed a LOT and unfortunately one of the baby donkeys appears to have been swept away in the flood. She could not be found. Nearly all of their fencing was laid down from the debris from the creek.

Just saw ur old pantry vid and was suprised by your lack of soy and rice. Homemade soy sauce is a bucket list item. As well as things like homemade rice paper and rice noodles. One thing I would like to get into myself is food stretching. And soybean tofu and rice flour are half of that battle. The other is watering or “bread crumming” down recipes and helping along with stock and soup. Maybe look into some “cheap” meals covered by @emmymade
