I love those knits dress racer back style: sewing suggestion maybe ask mom to take in a 1/2 inch to 1 inch at the point where the top front of the racer back connects to top back of racer back dress or she can take in a 1/2 inch or less at the seam under that hits under the arm so you can style keep the shape and fit as original as possible
