It's hard to describe how shocking this video was to those of us who were alive at the time. From what we had been used to in his videos, Freddie looked *really* frail and ill here. Other songs released that year (Innuendo, The Show Must Go On) either depicted him as a cartoon or had hashed up old videos, so there was very little to show how sick he had been until this came out. I was 17 at the time and it was hard to reconcile this Freddie with the force of nature that had blew the top off Wembley stadium at Live Aid 6 years earlier. Very sad ... fantastic, emotional song though and kudos to Roger Taylor for writing it too.

This was a letter of goodbye from Freddie to the fans. He died soon after. It brings tears to my eyes every time I see this video.

Roger the drummer wrote this one, reflecting on his life and Family.... the video, is 100% a goodbye from Freddie and the boys. They had no idea IF they could have kept going minus Freddie or not.

Another beautiful song is A Winter's Tale, written by Freddy in the last months of his life. It was about the view from his window. It tugs at my heart strings. The Show must go on, is another fantastic song. He was struggling and Brian May said do you think you can do it, or words to that effect, Freddy downed a vodka and said "let's do it darling" Hus vocals are incredible on that song too.

I always felt like the last line he sings while looking right in the camera was him kinda saying goodbye to everyone

He was. HE knew he was dying, he knew no more videos. THe last song he recorded (well almost did) called Motherlove is a gut punch of beauty too.

Awwww Freddie!! Hard to watch but appreciate Fred’s courage to film the video and say goodbye to his fans 👉 “I still love you” 🥹 Beautiful song written by Roger inspired by his children but at the time the song seemed appropriate for Freddie’s tragic future! 😭😭 Boy, do we miss our FREDDIE.

I remember when I realized who Freddie Mercury was, and how amazing he really is! Then I found out he died of aids only a few months after this video. He was so sick here.. in so much pain. There’s a documentary video they made during this day and you can see him struggle to walk, struggle to get down the 5 steps to join Roger to view what they’d just shot. It’s absolutely heartbreaking and I cry every single time I see him like this. I did the Queen binge too when I discovered FM wrote some of the best songs in history, and here I am 11 years later STILL binging and still just as obsessed with Queen and FM as I was that very first day. Welcome to the club!

The last video Freddie made with the boys, he was drawing close to the end. That final "I still love you" still breaks me, even after all these years.

Shiloh, these two songs you just did shows how talented queen was. They could rock out or tug at your heart strings. I saw them in 1977 and it was simply amazing. I'm a trucker, been home a few days about to hit the road. Always live your reactions, especially with queen.

That was a really pretty song but you’re right, it’s kind of sad to me too. It’s reflecting on easier past times. Freddie passed the same year this was released. RIP! 🙏 Thank you Shiloh for your lovely videos.

How we miss Freddie. "Mother Love", that Freddie couldn`t finnish and "No one but you(only the good die young)" sort of sum up all the emotions many of us felt when the world lost Freddie.
