I've read and listened to Napoleon Hill A LOT, such fantastic wisdom! CASHFLOW Quadrant blew my mind I loved it. Funny there's so many nay sayers... which is why only 2% become wealthy. As I've studied wealthy ppl the past 10 years, I've been astounded at the change in many areas of my life. Mind power IS power. There's not a lot of gems that study this stuff, it's exciting to find them. God bless you

It’s important to have a financial plan. I work with a portfolio manager and fixed income planner in the USA. The fixed income portion of your portfolio won’t simply serve as a buffer to the volatility of the equity portion of your portfolio, but will provide legitimate income.

Very true, people downplay planners role, until burnt by their mistakes. I remember just after my layoff 3 years ago amidst covid outbreak. I needed to stay afloat, hence researched for licensed fiduciary advisors. Thankfully, I came across someone of practical knowledge and decades of experience. I liquidated 200k of my 340k from my 401(k) it has yielded nearly 1M usd after subsequent investments so far.

Not really. This is the logical error a lot of people make when modelling successful people. A person does a bunch of actions, becomes successful then retroactively attributes success to action A or B. We write our own life story backwards and often edit out bits that don't fit our narrative or accentuate things that do. Rose's success was the result of a certain set of conditions at a certain point in her life. Another person in the same situation would end up completely different.

What I would add about Dr Joe's work is that yes, it presents scientific evidence for his theories. But those theories are totally based around the amazing results that can be achieved through meditation. The idea is that you break the habit of being yourself by deprogramming your subconscious of past ways of thinking, and setting new ones for your future. All through meditation.

The single most important concept to learn is what happens in 5, 10, 15, 20 years when you contribute to an index fund based on the s&p 500. You can learn this in 5 minutes of playing around with a simple investment calculator. I use the one on Dave Ramsay's site but I am sure there are many out there. Teaching a 16 about saving via compound interest is #1 priority. For example, saving $1000 a month will turn into 1 million in 20 years.

I know you asked Rose your question. But I cringed when I read your question. Banks love to push, CD’s and Annuities. Worst investments you can make. I had a CD account when I knew nothing about investing in my younger days, and realized I lost money the whole time the money was locked in the account. At the time inflation was 2% and the CD account was making I believe 1/4%, I was losing money on that account for the whole term. These days you will still lose money in a CD account, is my opinion. Rose can explain more to you, or do a search on KZfaq for a “CD accounts”. I recommend to new investors is to open a Roth IRA, or regular IRA and invest in a index fund. Research that also on KZfaq. I wish you all the best in investing. Remember to have patience, and hold long term.
