CHANNEL SUGGESTION: I would love to see the names of the artists in the video description, ABOUT section of the channel, and/or the channel banner. At the moment, they're mentioned in none of those places and it kind of makes it harder to get to know everybody. E.g. The last couple of times I posted a comment and wanted to shout out an artist by name, I had to scrub through the video to find where it was mentioned. In fact, to mention Kat in a comment response just a moment ago, I literally had to go back to the alcohol marker video and find the spot where she was introduced so I could remember her name. If you're hoping for this new team of artists to become our new parasocial friends, it would be super helpful (for new viewers especially) if you had their names everywhere (and at all times) in the same way you'd repeat channel branding. Or, y'know, your art packs. To that end, I'd also love to see their names onscreen at all times while they're drawing. At the moment, you flash it up in the corner briefly when they first start drawing but then, for some reason, fade it out and have no name on the screen for the rest of the time. Especially in these early days of the channel, I think it would be beneficial to really hammer those names home for us and leave them up the whole time (though, tbh, that's probably just good practice permanently bc there are always new viewers finding your channel every day). If you want to get extra fancy, have their name and, in smaller text beneath, what their specialty is (since you chose each of them for an artistic specialty, really lean into that). And if you don't mind taking a note from Drawfee, a little avatar that they drew of themselves would add some personality to it (this one is certainly not necessary, just fun). AND FINALLY, I think it would be nice to put links to each artist's socials in the vid description or at least the ABOUT so we can go check out more of their art and maybe follow them individually as well if we're into their stuff. Yes, you put their links in the videos where you initially introduced them but those are far less accessible and user-friendly than a link that we can always find in a video description and click (rather than have to write down and type in elsewhere). Not only would it give their personal art a boost but the more people feel connected with (and become fans of) one or all of the artists, the more connected they'll feel to the channel. It's a win-win.

True, this channel at the moment still "copies" the main site, however that was to be expected at the beginning. I will also throw in (and please don't hate me for this) that Jazza is like a moderator of the channel and it would be great to see a video on this channel without Jazza moderating it or the input coming from one of the other artists :) And please don't get me wrong, I think Jazza is great and I love all of his channels & content :) But it still feels, like he's like crutches for the channel and I can't wait to see the crutches gone :) And I don't mean that Jazza isn't in the videos anymore, but that they all take the lead and Jazza is just one of many and not just the lead :)
@johnplaysgames3120
@johnplaysgames3120 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I think we're all looking forward to when Jazza can sit back a little and let the other artists take the lead more often (I'd guess that Jazza feels the same way, tbh). That doesn't mean that we don't like Jazza or want to see him, just that having him run the show as much as he has been gives the vibe of "Jazza and some of his employees" rather than "a team of artists and friends" doing a whole new thing. That being said, I think there's an understanding that these folks were chosen because they're really good at art, not because they were brilliant presenters who were super comfortable on camera. Thus, I wouldn't describe what Jazza's doing right now as being "crutches" so much as being "training wheels." He's giving these folks a chance to get comfortable being themselves on-camera and simultaneously demonstrating for them how to host videos so they can eventually take over hosting duties. At the moment, they're hosts-in-training and they're shadowing the YT vet. The downside is that, as long as he's there, they're going to continue to defer to Jazza's greater YT experience and fame and mostly just sit quietly while Jazza hosts (until he asks them a question or something) rather than jumping in and taking part in a real, active conversation. Obviously, they know their own level-of-readiness better than we do but I feel like we're at a point where one of them could take over hosting for a video and Jazza could sit it out (to really encourage his baby birds to fly). Like, e.g. Alysha could do a tutorial video where she teaches Morgan (and Kat, if she's back) some animation thing (or whatever) and could run the show, with the whole video just being the three of them vibing and their individual personalities interacting... without their default stance of deferring to Jazza. Even if they don't feel quite ready for it yet, I think putting them into the position of doing a video without Jazza would really push them to level up with the added benefit of increasing their confidence that they can. And even if they don't quite have the pacing and patter down yet... well, that's what editing's for. Whatever happens, a little trial-by-fire at this point would encourage their growth as hosts.

I immediately thought of a mole animal as well and it didn’t seem weird to me at all given the context of everything else…a big bottomless hole in the ground, blind (but can see thru others eyes), an eye being a prop, limbs of magical vines or roots (roots are underground)…I could go on, there are so many potential metaphorical subtexts here that could all relate to a rodent mole! ❤

Morgan's design is so cool. The whole concept of North Mythology gear is great interpretation of the pretty standard fantasy style promt. I think, it would be cool for lore purposes if she wasn't just a pirate stealing silver, but her costume it's self requires silver for functioning, so she can go on on her quest of revenge. ANd Phoenix heart is literally engine in chest of her suite that uses silver as a fuel. But overall wonderful job!

This is so fun c: seeing what you peepos come up with ^^ For me consuming silver was meant to be in a molten form - its a cold ornated silver-golem with the heart of a phoenix in his chest, heating up the silver and making it glow when nervous or sleeping. Needing to constantly repair the damage from the melting caused by the heat of the heart while glowing with new silver making him grow and misshape in the process. His eye is the eye of odin, but he's still blind, bcs thats basically a stone, so he utilizes the minds of others. The world is a giant deep mine and his enemy one of the mole-miners, who is after the "living ores" like the character and his gold-father

Being a D&D nerd I took this in a bit of a fantasy way creating a Dragonborn character since Dragonborn in D&D can often have metallic skin tones and thus metallic hair. Dragons themselves in D&D love gold and silver and gems so perhaps Dragonborn have that odd perk as well to the point where they have to eat minerals like silver and gold in order to maintain their metallic complexion. Furthermore I took the Phoenix heart literally, having the Dragonborn character vanquish a Phoenix and sort of eating the heart, replacing it with his own which grants him the ability to become consumed by the fiery aura Phoenix's have before they die to ensure reincarnation which, for the Dragonborn character, heals him instead.

I love all these dives into ancient Norse. I grew up on both Eddas, and it is a subject close to my heart. One of the greatest things about it is that there is no set single mythology. The Norse mythology grew and was shaped by each tribe's interaction with the rest of the world. There is definitely room in there for interpretations like Omir. And that is definitely how a Norseman would've named him. Trying to think of the modern Scandinavian evolution of that name, and all I can think of is Omen, which is fittingly the same word in both Swedish and English.

I recently watched a video where multiple programmers made a game. Except they couldn't communicate and only could work on the game for a certain amount of time before it was passed to the next person. I think that would be an interesting idea for a character design thing on here, where each person could only work on the piece for so long, then it would be passed to the next person

The description of the world this character lives in reminds me of the anime Made in Abyss.

I like your new channel and even the cross-reference to Jazzas main channel. I see that Jazza is at the moment the moderator. Of course, it is his (third?) channel. I'd love to see what happens, if he says: Hey my beloved artists! Do a video how you like. At the moment it is pretty much "the jazza formula" and i'd like to be surprised :D
